Booked in as had horrendously early Manchester flight so just wanted somehwere 'reasonable' to park the car and lay our heads. Check-in was painfully slow and rooms were tiny but 'ok' for a couple of hourse. The big hassle was the restaurant, having arrived at 8.30pm we simply wanted a quick meal and to get to bed - no chance!... More

You could not pay me to stay at this awful, dirty, uncomfortable hotel. Evening meal was a disaster, had reds wine spill tall over me by the wine waiter and only had the clothes I was wearing that night to travel on holiday the next day, having already checked our luggage in. The staff were clueless how to deal with... More

Another one stay at this place that has certainly fallen in standards since it became part of The Britannia Group ( Pontins et al), compared with it's previous ownership by Holiday Inn (IHG Group). The overall atmosphere feels to me more like a back street sea side boarding house. The reception staff have a very couldn't care less attitude and... More

The location and Hotel have been known to us for over 20 years. In that time and since we have stayed overnight en route to Airport. Recently changed hands this hotel has gone from being efficient and friendly to totally disorganized and severely lacking in customer handling skills. Will be giving Britannia hotels and this one in particular a wide... More

Hotel was a little dated however was perfectly fine for my family of four before an early flight out of Manchester Airport the following morning. Price was notably cheaper than others in the area also. Room fine, parking onsite and regular minibus to airport following morning & on return. Did not dine at all so cannot comment on food...would stay... More

Tried to have a meal here last thursday evening - what a joke! Staff were young kids doing their best, BUT with no management, direction, supervision, and clearly not enough staff. Guests were complaining (loudly) or walking out because of the lack of servce. We waited about an hour and a half to get a basket of bread and a... More

This hotel was great when it was owned by Holiday Inn. A group of us have been going here regularly for a cheap and cheerful get together over a meal and glass of wine every few months for several years. However, since being taken over by Britannia Hotels we have seen huge changes and it has gone down hill rapidly.... More

On the internet and website this hotel looks excellent but I was soon very disappointed. On the website it gives the impression there is a fitness centre with pool etc... but this is a private gym and hotel guests are charged £5 then an extra £1 for a towel and £1 for a locker. The hotel was undergoing repairs on... More

Absolutely disgusted with this hotel. It was lie after lie and they need to hire new cleaners! Got there at 3pm after driving 70 miles. Airport parking was overflowing due to a conference that finished At 4 ....there was no conference in the hotel it was a cop out lie (I looked in the rooms and another member of staff... More
