The hotel is in need of some refurbishment and the staff need to be refreshed on their customer service skills. Front desk was populated by staff who where dismissive or didn't know their own systems. Room service got my order wrong. The breakfast buffet had run out of orange juice and milk and the coffee machine was playing up. The... More

Have had an overnight stay and parking package here before but it was then run by holiday Inns. It has now become one of the Britania group hotels. The price of the package was good, the room was small and the bed sized to fit what should have been a single room. The requested early morning call never materialised. On... More

When booking was advised this hotel was part of the same group as the Britannia hotel in Manchester, if it was then it could not be more different. When we arrived we found the reception staff dealing with another party and arguing on the phone with someone who had taken the booking and not informed them. Surely this should not... More

We found ourself stuck in the hotel for 10hours after a flight delay. The staff aranged for us to keep our room without charging and extra fee. The restaurant staff were helpful and reception staff exceptional. Rooms were clean and comfortable although a little small.

On arrival was advised that both the rooms were on the same floor but not told that the rooms were in different buildings, not a reason to complain on its own but at breakfast ran out of a few things including fruit juice, no hot water to make tea seemingly not enough staff to cope. We felt that breakfast was... More

As far as airport hotels go this one ain't so bad. A group of us friends stayed for one night (5 couples) before flying off to Benidorm next day. Rooms are very small with small bed, and our room above the reception entrance had a little step out balcony with patio doors that didn't lock so had to carry our... More

On arrival to the hotel i was initially impressed, the lobby area looked great and the reception staff got us checked in to our room (103) very quickly, however our experience went downhill from this point. Upon entering my room it was evident that it had not been cleaned properly; stains on the carpet, dirty mugs, rip in the duvet... More

We arrived and the receiption desk was a wash with staff but no one interested. We were with a few family members block booking for a wedding (not at this venue) Our room number was duplicated to another member of the booking. The Room was small for a three night stay. They accepted our two well behaved dogs on the... More

This stay was bad from beginning to end. I called the hotel to arrange transport from manchester airport station (the cost is added to the room) to tell them when my train would arrive - they told me, snottily, that I was to ring once I had got there, which I did. I called once I arrived and I was... More

I have to say I was worried before we arrived after reading the bad reviews as it had been such a good place while owned by Holiday Inn....but it was okay. In honesty it HAS deteriorated in condition since a change of ownership, outside was shabby and car park filthy. In the inside is in real need of touching up.... More
