Went lunch on a Monday. . Pleseant pub did have bit of a wait at the bar for a member of staff to appear. We ordered drinks and food and sat in garden which could do with a little t l c. The food arrived after a little wait. My partner had a burger which was quite tasty in a... More

First let me say the accommodation is cheap - £47. But the room was small, cold on entry, the bathroom (closet) miniscule and the shower not very clean. The clock had stopped, the TV only had one channel. Overall not impressed.

We used to regularly visit the pub for a night out but haven't been for 3 months and quite frankly we won't be back for a long time. The owner normally cooks and when we've been there before the food has been excellent but this time it was very poor. I had fish & chips which was the smallest portion... More

Arrived and was shown our room - had the double and it served our stay perfectly. Great value for money - it was clean, newly decorated, had everything we needed and stumbling distance from the pub door -which worked for us! The pub opened at 6pm so we went for an amazing walk literally on the pub's doorstep. Across the... More

Stayed 3 nights. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and some of the best meals particularly the steak done to perfection and washed down with a bottle of champers. What bliss. No evening meal provided Sunday night. No problem. We organised a lavish picnic meal with champagne and wine with the hotel kindly supplying ice bucket, ice, flutes and glasses. Exceptional value... My wife and I came here to try out the Sunday lunch. I had roast beef and her choice was belly of pork with crackling. The beef was superb, beautifully cooked and very tender. My wife was in raptures over her belly pork. She rated the crackling as the best that she'd ever had, and the pork was sublime. For... More

My wife & I went to lunch at the above today & what a treat it was. Linda had fish & chips & commented that it was some of the best she had eaten for a long time , with chips to die for. I had the local lambs liver. It was cooked perfectly , so soft & the bacon... More

Had a ladies night meal for 4 and we all loved the food choices, friendly service and ambiance. We would go back again soon and all of us recommend it even me - a fussy vegetarian! I had haloumi burger - very different and tasty.
