The family who run this Feather Down Farm site couldn't have us made us feel more welcome. This was our first time we had visited a Featherdown farm. We cannot rate this holiday more highly. The setting of Canfields Farm was idyllic set on the edge of a wood with cows & chickens in the field next to the tents. Being only 1 hour drive from London you really felt completely away from the grind. Special highlights... More

A fantastic location and our 3 year old was able to run around and have fun whilst always in view and safe. Tim and Sarah made sure we were comfortable and answered any questions we had but at the same time let us get on with relaxing. Five stars; we will stay again!

There's plenty of spacein the rest of the farm, but you are hemmed into a corner by a barbed wire fence. You can watch the planes circle the place late into the night, and first thing in the morning. Went with another family, kids have the freedom to run around and return to a childhood of yesterday. No tv, no phones and no DS's. Absolute fun, fun, fun. Kids will love sleeping in the wooden 'cupboard' and parents will enjoy a bit of peace and quiet. Didn't leave the camp except to buy food and drink locally. Played rounders... More
