The Opera Dinner is an experience not to be missed by any G&S fan. This former home to Gilbert is the perfect venue for his operas. The singers were excellent, the staff were great and the combination of venue, show and dinner worked perfectly for us. To top it off the rooms were only £50 when attending the dinner and... More

We stayed here just one night as we were at a party close by and couldn't be bothered to drive. Booked on the day, got good rates although breakfast wasn't included. We were taken to a seperate block away from the hotel but it was very nice, clean and warm. The bar and breakfast area was lovely, breakfast reasonably priced... More

I decided on booking the Grim's Dyke hotel based on appearance and price. Although the hotel is not near the city it is conveniently located on the Metropolitan line. You need to get off at Harrow on the Hill and take a taxi to the hotel which will cost you approximately 10 - 15 pounds. Travel time to London is... More

Stayed for one night and as I come to the area for business often I will always stay here from now on. For £67 for the night it's great value. The room is clean and well appointed with a modern bathroom. The room service food was perfect and hot even though it had to be carried from the main house.... More

Our family of seven had Xmas dinner here (this is our main restaurant for birthdays, celebrations etc) but I have also stayed here and I would probably stay elsewhere but drive here for the food as the accommodation and the staff that go with aren't up to par. However, the restaurant staff and food is like a different company. The... More

I took my elderly mum for afternoon tea at the Grims Dyke for her birthday on Boxing day. The champagne, sandwiches and cakes were all delicious. The atmosphere was very festive, and the staff were pleasant without being overly attentive. I had initially book the Ritz, at £60 per head for Boxing Day, plus travel. Decided to go locally instead... More

I discovered the Grims Dyke a number of years ago and it is now the only place that I will ever stay if visiting London. The place is outstanding. I disagree with most of the negative reviews on here - I have spent over 30 nights at the hotel in the past 5 years and will continue to give it... More

It all looked very nice on the website and we were persuaded to pay the extra and upgrade to an 'executive' room even though it was only for one night. On arrival the outside and public rooms looked impressive and perhaps even better than the impression the website gave, but on checking in we were 'greeted' by pretty miserable staff... More

Arriving at the hotel the grounds and main building looked very nice. Strange small reception area were we checked in efficiently but not really welcoming way. Porter walked us to the room which was nice. Rooms very nice and clean with more amenities than you would expect for the price paid. Beds are comfy apart from the really flat pillows.... More
