This hotel is lovely, and I have high standards! Opposite the docks in Goole, it didn't look to be in the best location, and from the outside the hotel looks clean and well kept but nothing special - don't be fooled! This place is a gem, from the outstanding staff who are a credit to the owner, to the restaurant's... More

I've used The Lowther Hotel for many years now and it's change of menu to a more upmarket and select choice (what I suppose Goole needs as it hasn't got any competition) was welcomed. The food and service were excellent as the place was very quiet so I expected and hoped it to be to be fair. Seven of us... More

We only stayed for one night but all was really good. We paid for a superior room and it was big enough to hold a small party in! Room was very tall, double aspect over the port, newly decorated, new bathroom, good shower, very comfy bed. Breakfast was cooked to order and arrived piping hot, cereals, fruit, yoghurt, toast and... More

This is a great place to stay. The rooms are big with comfortable beds and have everything you need. The decor is lovely too. I ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was fantastic. There's also a pretty cool bar on the ground floor. Staff are great - really helpful and welcoming. Lots of parking. Looking forward... More

Stayed one night for business meeting, the area looks a bit run down but the hotel was really nice. Room clean tidy and warm and bed comfy. Breakfast was really good did not have evening meal as late arrival but they had laid on plate of sandwiches. Staff helpful and friendly, I would use again, thanks to all.

My wife and I are recovering from our wonderful wedding that was hosted by the very special venue The Lowther Hotel in Goole. From our first meeting, many months ago, with Rik, Howard and Julie we knew that they were going to be perfect host for our special day. All subsequent meetings only helped reaffirm our confidence in them. This... More

Hotel is old but very will looked after, have stayed lots of times in there. Rooms have all usual amenities, excellent breakfast. Hotel has restaurant with a new chef but food is more or less the same as before. Loads of parking space, Goole town center is only 5 minutes drive from the hotel. Certainly recommended

This is a small hotel with friendly staff unfortunately the bed was very small for my husband who's 6'3. Also very warm room was supposed to be air conditioning but none in the room we were allocated this meant for a sleepless night for us both :((( Breakfast was nice and plenty of choice .

No lift, but the staff and service were brilliant. The staff were very helpful and gave some cost saving advice for our visit to York. Monday was the chef's night off, but the food was very good (they even cooked me my favourite meal that wasn't on the menu). The room was very clean and comfortable. The room was very... More

What a surprise!!! This Hotel is situated in a run down area in the docklands but you just have to visit to see how good it is. Recently updated the rooms were stylish, modern and very comfortable. Very nice Shower room also recently fitted. Wholesome breakfast with very good choice. Most of the staff were very young but have obviously... More
