As previous reviews, pub with rooms is best way to describe The Stag. At it's pretty close to the centre, parking was the nearby multi-storey but quite good for a wander around the town. Room was clean and staff friendly but the pub does not do food so you will need to look elsewhere. Overall it was ok for a... More

terrible! i had a twin room booked for myself and my work colleague for 5 nights as we were working in the area. we are good mates but the room was so small it felt very uncomfortable.....then we opened the bathroom door....or small cupboard with a shower in. The smell of urine, the festering shower curtain and the cold water dribbling... More

We stayed here because it was a free nights stay as compensation after complaining about their sister hotel. Not a bad location but no on site parking. Bathroom was just a shower that took forever to get hot with a rancid shower curtain, a half sink and a loo - tiny The room was boiling hot and not clean at... More

This is a pub turned into a guesthouse, The room was very small but had everything I needed. It was clean with a comfortable bed, fresh crisp linen, great lighting, and was nicely decorated. The shower room was small and the shower had nowhere for you to put anything. It is on a busy road without double glazing so there... More

Small room, quite cold. Very noisy til 2am. Separate bathroom not very clean or comfortable and too far away from room, also no good for some people as up a lot of steep stairs. Room kettle on an extension lead which did not work properly - power kept cutting out. Not enough tea/coffee left. Could hear people in other rooms,... More

Well we wouldn't stay again. The double room was very small. The hotel was clean and the decor was bright and modern. Plus point, Close to Enfield Town but the downside was we overlooked the bus terminus .....the buses seemed to run all night BUT to be fair, the drivers instantly switched off their engines the second they stopped. Staff... More

First positive..... Very friendly staff (Gavin). Helpful when needed info on where to park. (Down the road, 5 mins walk) Very clean and modern. Decorated lovely. Next to shops and restaurants. Bed comfortable and lovely crisp white sheets. Table and 2 chairs with complimentary tray. Now negative.... but only one pack of biscuits. Would have been nice to get a... More

Music didn't stop till early hours and with no double glazing it meant the noise from the buses terminating dead opposite our room was enough to keep me awake all night. Not recommended unless it a last resort place to stay, or if you get lucky after drinking in the pub below

Firstly was told you could park outside however on arrival the only parking was in a local car park. The room I would not class as a double & the only way they got a double bed in was because it was pushed against one of the walls. The wash basin was JUST fixed to the wall and was extremely...
