My two sons and I came down to London from two reasons. Firstly, the Bradford City v Chelsea FACup tie, and secondly a weekend course that I wanted to attend (well I wanted to be at the match but that's another story). Although this site is quite a long way from where the course was being held (Golders Green) we... More

My wife and I have just spent a night in one of the cocoons on this site. We had initially wanted to travel in our campervan, but seeing the offer (40% off) decided to use the cocoon instead. It worked out slightly cheaper, at £15 / night. Regarding the actual site, this seems an excellent place to stay, for a... More

I would have given this camp site a good review, the facilities were ok, it was close to public transport and handy for London, however I am big on service. Even though we stayed there twice and got to know the attendants, they would not lend me a bucket only sell me one, we were due to return the camper... More

A lovely site, very welcoming. We were a group of mums and kids, some of us had never camped before and some of us had never pitched our tents before. The staff were so helpful, helping us even though it was raining and I'm sure they had better things to do. We stayed mostly around the site and even though... More

I booked a month in advance for myself and my partner to stay in a cocoon for 2 nights over the weekend of the 15th August. The booking form was quite unclear and I ended up paying 2 deposits, however after a couple of exchanges the manager agreed that I could transfer the 2nd deposit to the final cost of... More

I needed somewhere cheap to stay near Lee Valley Park. Camping was the best option and this site fitted the bill. The day before we arrived it had rained heavily and the reception staff were honest enough to say the pitch was waterlogged and show me one of the cocoons (£9 extra) which I jumped at.

Thanks for your review; we’re glad you enjoyed your upgrade to one of our cocoons. As you pointed out these are a great alternative to a tent and can be enjoyed whatever the weather conditions which is perfect in the unpredictable British weather! We hope we can welcome you back in the future. More

I love this site because it is not far away from home yet feels like you are in the middle of nowhere which is relaxing, full of trees which I like to have around me. You can go for a walk in the woods and outside the campsite you can walk for miles on country paths. The toilets are very... More

Very friendly and helpful staff. Facilities very good. We will return! We chose this sight as it was close to an Underground station and we wanted to spend a couple of days exploring London. We wern't disappointed! A bus comes into the campsite and takes you straight to Walthamstow Central station which is included in the £8.90 day travelcard. The... More
