Friday to Sunday for a wedding. Great attentive staff, superb food, very relaxing. The RAF museum is just 15 minutes away at Hendon. Free parking and admission, allow a full day if you want to see all the exhibits. Only word of caution - no rooms with internal disabled access - you have to travel outside of the hotel to... more

Stayed at this hotel as needed to stay close to Borehamwood. Location is good as set in its own grounds approx 3 miles from Borehamwood. The hotel looks great from the outside however the rooms were down a few flights of stairs- no lift and no offer of help from staff to help with bags. Check in was a bit... more

I was a little worried from the mixed reviews but as a fussy well heeled 30 something couple we found it quite charming. We took no notice as our equally fussy friends reccomended it to us whom we were visiting. Our Initial impression was excellent as we arrived up this long windy driveway. What then greeted us was this beautiful... more

i like this hotel i've stayed before also, its just out the way but close to town, an old buiding which has modern additional extentions and generally a nice bit of character, However i got the feeling of slight incompitance from the staff generally and when i phoned for room service i chose there most expensive dish, a seafood platter... more

Stayed for 3 nights - a standard room for myself and a suite for my parents. Building itself is very nice with lots of old world charm. HOWEVER, service is another issue entirely. One/two flights of stairs to rooms and no one available to take cases up. Checked in at 3.00pm and rooms were freezing cold. Needed maintenance to come... more

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night for our wedding anniversay. We also held our wedding reception here in 2004. Both times we have stayed in one of the suites so I cannot comment of the normal rooms but have been told by others that they are good. If you have the money to stay in... more

I have stayed there for one night and the only drawback I could find is its distance from the Edgware station (Northern Line). The room was pretty nice with all the amenities that you can easily find at a 4star hotel! The room cost me only £46 and the service was satisfactory. more
