We were greeted with a very friendly and warm welcome. The price was very good for the accommodation, and close to the town centre, £4 for a taxi. Room was fine and everything was very clean. The breakfast was defiantly the full monty as Tom would say, altogether a very pleasant stay.

We were not expecting this to be a modern or fashionable place to stay having lived in a similar type of house on Preston New Road many years ago and so were not surprised when we arrived and saw our top floor attic room. However the owner was very friendly, helpful and was doing a very good job under the... More

As three cyclists arriving late in the evening we were met with a friendly welcome by the owner, who could not do enough for us, from making sure our bikes were securely stowed, fresh milk in our room, to ensuring we had a "good breakfast" before setting off again. Tom you are a true star.

I needed a room quickly at a decent price near to King Georges Hall. The Owner Tom, did everything to help my very pleasant stay, including the simple things like having taxi numbers to hand - nothing I asked was too much trouble. Lovely breakfast - will stay again. Thank you! :)

Looks good online but reality was very different. On arriving at the hotel we were told that the rooms booked were not available due to a 'flood', others were offered but the standard was appalling. There was a musty smell throughout the premises and the general level of cleanliness left a lot to be desired. We left to find other... More

I stayed here for only 1 night and enjoyed my stay. The entrance to the hotel is very grand and set on a hill. The establishment host greeted me quite late in the evening as I and my friend drove up and parked the car (it shows there is some 'good, old fashion hospitality left in England!) The room was...
