Stayed here during a business trip to Samlesbury. Conveniently situated for the BAe Factory. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Coffee making facilities in the room with mugs not cups and saucers. The menu is extensive and my evening meal was first class. Full English breakfast excellent. The owner and his staff were brilliant. Recommended.

Lovely country pub with very good food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our only concern was that the service was slow suggesting a lack of kitchen staff. However a very pleasant experience for a family get together.

Stayed overnight for a business trip. Comfortable and spacious room with free wi-fi. Plenty of car parking. Had to leave the windows open because of the hot weather and therefore got woken up early by the traffic on the road immediately outside. Breakfast was okay.

Good location - unfortunately on a fairly busy little roundabout - so a fair amount of traffic noise. Room number 2 was very big - lots of wardrobe space - a decent bathroom - shower over the bath. But the bed was rather low and quite hard. Only drapes at the window no nets - so had to draw them... More

We stayed here the stair carpet is filthy, the room extremely small dirty carpet in our room also. Dusty then I pulled back the covers and saw 6 pubic hairs!! DISGUSTING we went back down stairs with our key and said we weren't staying there as the room was filthy. Bar girl replied I don't blame you and took our... More

This is a lovely Inn/pub/hotel with great food (super breakfast) and comfortable rooms; all done at a reasonable rate and with excellent service by the staff. The only thing that let down our stay was that the manager didn't seem to be capable of running a reasonably busy establishment. We were a big group having a post-Christmas family get together... Lovely food, great setting, smelled like a proper pub ! Not many of those in Luxembourg !! Service attentive and quite quick, only small downside was trying to get an accurate bill at the end of the meal, had charged us for an extra 4 adults (wrong table), had to ask twice for it to be corrected, didn't spoil opinion... Stayed here for a night with my wife in September whilst we attended a wedding nearby. After correspondence with the manager via email, we were allowed to check in early to get ready for the wedding. Booking in was simple and there was plenty of car Parking outside. For £65 for the room we got a comfy double bed with... More

We stayed with our son and daughter-in-law whilst we attended a nearby wedding. Great idea! Lovely feel to the place, nice staff, good rooms, car parking and most of all, excellent food. Dinner in the pub was well cooked local food in a pleasant atmosphere and breakfast was plentiful. Good value in a convenient location.
