My friend and I had come to stay at the B&B for the Isle of Wight Challenge. The couple running the Newport Quay Hotel were veryfb warm and accommodated our early starts. The rooms were warm and cozy. The breakfast was very good as well. They recommended some nice bars and restaurants including Olivio and the Bargemans Rest. Overall a... More

We used the Telephone to arrange our break, our stay and ferry crossing, through Martin, who gave us all the information we needed to make this an enjoyable break. We were visiting the Isle of Wight to visit friends and only needed B&B. Martin told us about the new parking scheme of pay by phone for all council run parking,... More

We received a friendly welcome, and the location is really handy for the town centre, and we found a nice pub by the river medina for dinner. The superior room was nicely furnished, although not large. - The jacuzzi bath was excellent! The historic building has been tastefully converted. The free wifi was excellent, much faster than usually found at... More

Truly fantastic stay at this Hotel, a real surprise in the heart of Newport with lots of parking just outside the front door. Modern rooms and a very good Breakfast in the morning. Well worth trying this one out.

Lovely room, although from the pictures it seems I was lucky to get one of the nicer rooms. Very welcoming staff and excellent breakfast. Great location as it was very close to the town centre but was tucked away slightly so I didn't hear any noise from the nearby pubs and restaurants. Would defiantly stay there again on a holiday... We stayed at the hotel over the weekend and loved the experience... The owners were welcoming and the hotel was traditional and homely, really comfortable. Breakfast was a fabulous spread and the bed was amazing, as was the luxurious spacious bathroom! Perfect quiet location but central to the shops, and great value for money - will definitely go back

This is a small old-fashioned hotel in a great location in the centre of Newport, Isle of Wight. It's a short walk to the town centre in one direction and the picturesque Newport Harbour in the other. I stayed in a small single room (the only room available when I turned up on spec late in the evening). The room... More

I visited this hotel last weekend whilst visiting family. The hotel was lovely it was very clean and accomodating. The owner was very helpful and always on hand. The room i stayed in was in the front of the hotel and was very quiet as they have recently had new windows fitted. The bed was really comfortable and breakfast was... More

Stayed here in January for our pre-wedding and wedding night! Was in Room 12 which is on the ground floor out the back. Apparently had 3 people above us but we couldn't tell. Was lovely and quiet and we felt shut off from the world which was exactly what we wanted. Had the courtyard outside our room which was awesome.... More

NOT KEEN The Quay is very conveniently located and handy for the town and has much old-fashioned charm in its way. Out of season prices are reasonable, but we looked at the summer tariff and thought that £95 was excessive for what is only an average B&B (not a hotel, as has been observed previously). We stayed here a few... More

Thank you for your review. 1. Reception. If you want a 24 hour manned reception please stay at one of the big chains. They have loads of rooms, bar and restaurant and make profit from you at every turn. We are a small, family run hotel, we live in an attached house 65 metres at the rear of the hotel... More
