A wonderful find. Perfect location. Excellent service and clean and well maintained rooms. We loved Newport. Came to the Isle of Wight looking to maybe relocate our family. We were met with kindness and more help and advice than we'd ever dreamt of. Safe to say we've both fallen in love with the whole island but the Newport quay started... More

Perfect location for touring the isle. Very nice room with super kingsize four poster bed. Delicious breakfast, perfectly cooked. Service and hospitality were fantastic. We had a wonderful time thanks to Martin and Suki.

My wife and I stayed here for just one night last week. The business goes back to the 1600's when Newport was a true port and visiting Captains would stay at the hotel while their cargoes were being unloaded and the tides were becoming favourable for their departure. Your hosts Martin and Suki Sinclair can give you a lot more... More

This Hotel feels part of the Island as it should be, an atmosphere of welcoming friendlyness from owners and staff. I have stayed here on and off for the past 3 weeks due to business commitments and wouldn't swop it for a modern hotel for love or money. Management are most helpful in every aspect and go out of there... More

Booked 2 night stay, got a text at midday on first morning saying "Hi its Newport quay. Check out was 10 am and your room is booked tonight so I have had to pack up your room for cleaning. Please ring bell when you return" So I phoned them immediately. Even though I spoke with the owner direct, and clearly... More

Thank you so much for your kind, considered and almost accurate review. Factually you are incorrect on at least two counts 1. You only booked for one night and 2 The price is quite clearly stated as £65 PER NIGHT for a single room on Booking.com which you have quoted as your reference. Being called an idiot by you I... First and foremost, the staff and management are brilliant - Martin is like having your own PA on hand. He even sorted the ferries out and changed a timing and we got massive savings for all his efforts Breakfast is included on the room rate and is very good - with genuine offer of more coffee and toast. The location... More

The hotel is pretty, the stuff was really lovely, the room was a bit small but beautifully decorated, the bathroom was very clean and modern. The breakfast was a lot with a choice of different cereals (even porridge) as the first course of breakfast, then different choices for the "main course of the breakfast" where beside a really good full...
