Stayed here for 2 nights. Initial experience on checking in was bizarre, was asked if I wanted to pay before I had even seen the room ! Our room was at the front & was a bit noisy, the wi fi was sporadic.. I had to ask asked for the loo to be cleaned again but despite assurances this wasn't... More

As per previous reviews on this hotel I stayed in room 6 which is right over the kitchen. The good side is the smell of delicious food but the downside is the noise. On the board in the restaurant it comments how passionate the chef is about food but based on the noise from the kitchen he is also passionate... More

We stayed here in June 2014, having previously been here a couple of years ago. The fact that we came back is testimony to the fact that this is not a bad place to stay. Plenty of positives including a clean, comfortable and well appointed room. Central location, friendly helpful staff and a breakfast as good as you will find... More

I booked the hotel for the Isle of Wight festival, and had to cancel 2 weeks before. When making the booking I was not advised the deposit of £150 was non-refundable. I've been calling them almost everyday for a refund and am getting passed around from person to person. The hotel filled the room up so are not at a... More

I arrived here in the mid-evening and was shown to my room on the first floor at the rear of the hotel. It was a spacious room but nothing to write home about. If this was a Superior Room, I wonder what the Inferior Room looked like? I had the evening meal which was very good and reasonably priced. Inadvertent... More

I can honestly say this is/ was the worst nights stay I've ever experienced. Minor points: the hotel is let down by many of these including: poor paint job, old furniture, very uncomfortable bed and pillows, cheap toilet paper, one bottle of water between two.... and the list goes on. Major points: extremely noisy. Music was being played last night... More

My fiancé booked us 3 nights in this hotel as a surprise for my birthday - he has never been to the Isle of Wight before but being welcomed to this hotel was definatly a good first impression for him, the room we had was at the front of the hotel, it had high ceilings and was really spacious, the... At short noticed I booked the hotel and I arrived at 11pm on a Saturday evening and the staff couldn't be more helpful. They phoned me to make sure I was still coming and showed me to my room. The room with bright a airy and plenty of room in our room. It was clean and tidy and a quiet... More
