This used to be a 1st class hotel with a similar grade restaurant. I've never stayed at the hotel, but I've frequently eaten at the restaurant. It used to be very good indeed, but apparently the owners have not been able (or haven't seen the need) to maintain that level of quality in the restaurant and the furniture of the... More

We came for the food and therefore remained a night in the hotel. Our expectations were not high though, after our experiences of the last time this night surpassed anything but negative. The ropes of the only window were broken so they could open just a little bit. The carpet is full of stains and even in the bottom sheet... More

It's all in the title really. I do not have any previous experience on the staying in the locality so cannot really say if this is good value or not. Overall satisfactory but a little threadbare and short of some of the basics. Perfectly ok for business or a short stay.

A little pricey if you pay full price but a nice position overlooking the canal. A very good breakfast of fruit and yogurt, eggs and a platter of pastries, no skimping there. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were very clean and toiletries provided. Would stay here again when travelling on business.

Very relaxed hotel on the side of the Amstel. Comfortable and individual rooms. Restaurant is excellent, private dining available, with great bar & cellar with access to the terrace on the side of the river.

Actually a few kilometers outside the city direct at the river Amstel with a view so typical dutch that it seems unreal. The ideal place to be with nearby public transport to the center of Amsterdam as well as the Airport Schiphol in the vicinity. Beautiful centuries old houses joined to make this boutique hotel with gourmet restaurant one of... More

Imagine a place at the side of the quiet river Amstel, in a quiet environment, offering spacious rooms, all with view on the river; on top a restaurant offering (well, "offering" is not exactly the term...) a refined Mediterranean French cuisine with a good choice of top ingredients. The winelist is, to say the least, "eclectic" but unfortunately prices are... More

A small, intimate place where you still experience the personal touch. The hotel features a valet service, a nice bar and rustique, spacious rooms. The restaurant is worth a visit but you have a pallette of nice dining-out options in the street too. Take a table close to the water and don't be surprised to see boats float by.

This is an old building, so be aware of low ceilings and steps from one room to the other, but the atmosphere is excellent, like the staff that welcomes you. The car is being taken care of. The spacious rooms are old fashioned, but there is all you need. Shower in the bad, large beds, a bunch of towels and... More

Very close to Schiphol airport, just outside Amsterdam, in the middle of Dutch "polder landscape" lies this small boutique hotel in an old Dutch house at the banks of the river Amstel. When we arrived a valet (no charge, as it turned out) took our car and parked it further away as parking lot next to Hotel was full (restaurant... More
