Room was clean and comfortable with great views up to Jungfrau and Mönch. Friendly and helpful staff in well run hotel. Busy restaurant serving great food in evenings but buffet breakfast got a bit monotonous after a week. Hotel handy for Wilderswil station, 5 minute walk, and local bus to Interlaken. A really nice hotel, excellent staff, good food, lovelly surroundings and a very pleasant room. Only drawback was the early morning (7am) noise from the room above - sounded like the people up there were were wearing hob-nail boots and dragging the furniture accross the floor for well over an hour each morning! The only thing is that we paid full room rate, well have to admit it, was high but really high season because this was the only place available after roaming several hotels nearby in Lauterbrunnen and Matten. Just back from 5 days in hotel Baren. We went over new year to try to get some skiing in. Snow wasn't great but that was situation all over switzerland.
