Great, big rooms! Big and comfy bed! Very clean and easy to live on when walking el camino. Great breakfast with a lot of options. Dinner, don't eat there if you don't need to. The food was average . Go instead to the street just over the river or the main -Pelegrini street further up in the town. A lot... More

It was my first large hotel since starting the Camino so it was nice to have some extra comforts. My room was very spacious, great bed, a bar fridge and a bath with a plug! Heaven! This is the last big town before Santiago so I was able to pick up anything I needed with lots of shops, restaurants and... More

We arrived here at the beginning of our Camino walk and were pleased by the quality of the hotel. Our room was large and had great air conditioning. Beds were comfortable. Some parts of the hotel are a bit dated and the carpet in our room had a big stain, but overall we felt content with this hotel. Breakfast was... More

This is a super hotel set at the side of a river, with cafes and restaurants within a minutes walk. I had trouble finding it from the bus station as I followed the road signs but one had been moved - a fair bit of road works / diversions when I was there. And I ended up with an hours... More

I was happy to have a "bigger" hotel to rest that night. After a long day walking on the Camino, Hotel Alfonso IX was a good stop for the night along the Camino. By a river, and close to restaurants and shopping (pharmacy & grocery stores; many more) makes this a nice location. Sarria is the last big city before... More

We stayed here as a family of four (one double and one twin room). Rooms were good size and spotlessly clean. Double bed was enormous and very comfortable. Lots of toiletries available....including disposable razor and toothpaste. Wi-fi was free and worked well. Reception staff spoke English and were very helpful in arranging for our luggage to be transported ahead to... More

We stayed at this hotel for one night as we were doing the Camino. The rooms were very clean and of good size. Toiletries included toothbrushes/toothpaste as well as a small shaving kit (impressive for a hotel in a small town like Sarria). The hotel is a few minutes' walk from the town centre. Would recommend.

This hotel is located in the most perfect location when walking or commencing the Camino. I started here and it was just a 50 metre walk to the bridge and you are on the trail. Everything is clearly signed. It is ideally situation in a picturesque setting running along the river. Cross over the bridge and you have a big... More

We stayed at hotel Alfonso to begin our journey on the camino de santiago. We had a very nice dinner followed by a restful sleep in a modern nicely equipped room. The absolute best part though was breakfast the next morning. It was everything a continental breakfast should be, all the selections were amazing and we were able to walk... More

This was our first stop before walking the last 110kms of The Camino de Frances. It is a wonderful hotel by the river in Sarria and close to the start of our walk and right in town if you feel like exploring. The breakfast buffet had a huge selection of tasty food and the Menu de dei is great value... More
