Stayed two nights at this clean, quiet and nice hotel. Room was small but very good value for the money. Restaurant served good food. We were able to relax for two days in Sarria before going on the last part of our journey (150 km).

We stayed a couple of nights at Mar del Plata before starting walking the Camino de Santiago. The hotel is conveniently located less than two blocks from the train station. Rooms are modern, comfortable and clean, and personnel is attentive and prompt to respond to any request or need. I would definitely recommend this hotel

This hotel is situated very close to next day's camino start. The staff was wonderful, especially Erena (spelling?) and Carmen who helped me with checkin, laundry service and anything else I needed. Of all the habitaciones during my entire camino since St. Jean Pied de Port, hands down I had the best service here...perhaps tied first place with Piedras Blancas... More

We were walking through Sarria and we seemed to be going in a direction away from Camino, which was the case actually. This hotel is close to transportation centers and close to a busy street with a lot of shops, banks, and eateries. The staff was very accommodating and the room we got was actually a suite!! Lots of space... More

We stayed here as the starting point for El Camino de Santiago. The rooms were very modern and the amenities were excellent. The staff was excellent. They actually asked us when we would like to have breakfast. When we replied 7:30 am, actually a half hour earlier than usual, we were told "no es problema". The breakfast was much more... More

Room 302 Two twin beds with firm mattress and crisp linens. Furnishings are modern but plain and functional. Wifi worked great up until 10pm but not at all in the morning which is when I needed weather report. Hotel restaurant and bar closed Sunday evening which required this guest to go out in rain to find somewhere else open on... More

I took a taxi directly from Santiago to Saria and stayed at this great, clean, friendly hotel. I arrived on a Monday, so the Church was closed. They were able to give me a "passport" so I could start walking early the next morning. They also help me arrange baggage transfer service much cheaper than the company I had spoken... More

Enjoyed our stay at the Mar de Plata. Enjoyed the contemporary feel of the hotel and its cleanliness. Reason we didn't give it a 5: barking dog all night (not the fault of the hotel but definitely left a lasting impression) and the hotel staff wasn't over ally helpful friendly with directions/advice. It was a Sunday and the restaurant was... More

The hotel was perfect for our needs as we started the short Camino walk starting in Sarria. It's close to the bus stop and there is a quick connection to the walk path. What makes this exceptional is the helpful front desk. When I phoned to make inquiries The person spoke English well and assured me that everything could be... More

This is an austere but clean hotel with a great restaurant. too bad the WiFi didn't work or it would have 4 stars. Front desk very helpful. Bed was a little too hard. I'd stay there again. Free breakfast was incredible.
