We will start with the room,plenty of wardrobe space with plenty of hangers a good size, fresh linen on a regular basis every 2-3 days clean towels every day the bathroom was well fitted with a hair dryer and something we had not seen before,liqued soap dispensers,one over the wash basin and the other on the wall over the bath/shower... more

We have been to Calella several times. During the years we stayed in various hotels, the last couple of years we stayed in Hotel Volga, this is the one we like most. Stayed here for a five night break with a room overlooking the street. Basically the hotel is faultless, but, the walls are not very thick and the first train in the morning ( about 6am) always sounded its horn as a free wake up call which wasn't always wanted. Stayed at the Volga in March, could not fault it, the staff were very welcoming and nothing was to much trouble. The food was excellet we had Half board and was spoilt for choice as to what to choose. Yes it is near the railway but we found that to be a positive, we went to Barcelona for abour 13.40... more
