Just got back from the Amaika one hour ago, so this comment is pretty much up to date. First off lets talk about the transport. Everyone seems to moan about Ryanair, There is NO problem with this airline if you obey the baggage limitations, print off your boarding card correctly (It is amazing the number of passengers that cannot do... more

We booked an AI week to this hotel from the 27th May - 3rd June through teletext for £800 for two adults and one 5yr old and to be honest i think we got a great bargain. On arriving at the Amailka after being delayed at the airport we were pleasantly greeted by the staff who issued us our AI... more

We were from 18th to 25th of June with all inclusive. Nice hotel, with very good rooms, but not exactly 4*. I had a room at 9th floor, splendid view and very quiet. The shower in the bathroom was very small, so we used the shower in the bath but the light was bad. There is no light in the... more

First the good points: Hotel is generally pleasant and well decorated inside for its class, especially the public areas. Reception and dining rooms are impressive. The bedroom air conditioning was on 24hrs per day, was effective, and did not rely on a key card being present in the switch next to the door. This enabled us to sleep very soundly.... more

We have been to the Amaika 5-6 times in the last three years. Nothing has changed, it is still lovely and clean, although I must admit that sometimes our room had a bad smell of drains. We didn't bother complaining because we had room 111, which has one of the large terraces, so you don't have to fight for a... more

We have just returned from a week's all inclusive at the Hotal Amaika. It is a very clean hotel. The staff are very friendly. The room's are quite smart, but we had a funny smell all week in ours. I think it was the drains! My complaints were, the food was a bit hit and miss! There didn't seem to... more

I spent two nights at the Amaika at the end of May when my partner was competing in a local triathalon - so I guess the triathalon guests were not typical for the hotel which was mostly for week long package holiday guests looking for sunshine, beach and cheap food/beer. I have stayed in plenty of hotels in Spain and... more
