I visited Ponferrada while doing the Camino to Santiago in April. I found the hotel to be clean and convenient but totally soulless. Also, very noisy! There was a private party on the ground floor that started around 11 pm and made it impossible to sleep. I wouldn't recommend staying here, however if there are few alternatives, request an upstairs... More

We stopped here for a night while walking the Camino. The room was very small but clean and comfortable. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The hotel was a bit difficult to find, as on a side street, but well located to all the sights. We thought we got good value for the price we paid.

I stayed here while passing thru on the Camino. I thought I would treat myself to a hotel while in the city. This was not the hotel to get rest in! The noise from the bar below me, I was on the third floor, was overwhelming! I had earplugs in and the pillow wrapped around my head until 2:45 in... More

The room was clean but smelled like boiled potatoes. My view was of a wall and cooking vent pipes. The front desk was staffed by men who did not want to be bothered by making us a phone call. The gentleman at the desk pushed my card back at me and said, "you call."My laundry was done for a price... More

I stayed here during my Camino walk to Santiago. Upon arrival the young man working the front desk seemed completely disinterested, even a bit annoyed, in my request for a room. After checking in I went downstairs to the bar to get a beer and some food and waited 15 mins in the empty room before someone finally arrived and... More

Stayed one night in a twin room. A bit cramped but ok. Staff helpful and bar good. Great location in the centre of town. Wish they would provide more than one pillow though! (Ok, an idiosyncrasy, I know!)

I stayed one night at Los Templarios. it was their festival of Enchina night - their patron saint. As a result the old city was full of people celebrating till early hours. I think that every hotel would be busy. The rooms are small but adequate and the location in the old city is excellent. A rather grumpy concierge did... More

This little hotel is in a great location, seems pretty new and is imacculately clean. Really comfy beds, great shower, nice towels. We asked for a triple room which they organized for us with no problems. They have a great laundry service for just 10 euros a night for a big bag of dirty pilgrim clothes and it was all... More

Nice hotel in the middle of the old center. Very nice rooms, spatious, clean, good curtains. The hotel has some restaurant fascilities. As always in (Northern) Spain vegetables completely overcooked, but the chicken is quite good, and actually recognizable as chicken unlike in other Spanish hotels and restaurants. Price very reasonable for a stay in this wonderful old center.
