this hotel looks great in the brochure and internet but looks deceive, the olive hotel is a throw back to the 1970s, we felt we should be wearing flares and platform shoes to fit in with the surroundings, Wi-Fi is only available in reception which you have to pay for, the room was very badly lit which made it difficult... This hotel is really good value. Everything works. No queues for beds, drinks or dining room. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and cleaning is constant and thorough. Food was plentiful and varied and the usual Riu serve yourself for almost everything worked extremely well for us. We stayed poolside on the 3rd floor of the older hotel block.... More

We stayed in room 3119, a family annex double room located the furthest away from most. This gave us a nice quiet room with a sunny south facing terrace and a more shady westbound terrace turning outward to a beautiful garden with grass and palm trees and a nice desert view where we spent a lot of afternoons when our... This hotel stands in a stunning position on the beach but away from hustle and bustle. Staff are lovely, always very friendly. Food was very good although hot breakfast choice was a bit limited but loads of choice in everything else. Hotel is a little tired looking but the enviable position makes up for that. Hotel was very clean would... More

Just returned from this hotel and can recommend as a great value holiday. As mentioned by others it's a little dated but in very good condition. It's spotlessly clean, the rooms are comfortable and the bathroom was immaculate. Food does become a bit repetitive but if you try to stick to one dish per course instead of a little bit... More

Just returned from our second visit and enjoyed it more than our first visit. This is a wonderful hotel which ticks all the boxes. Comfortable, clean, good service in all areas and good food and in an excellent location, right on the Playa Granda beach. The hotel was full and it amazed me that they manage to provide such as... Not impressed hotel is a little tired.we were in the annex and rooms were very cold, we were supplied with a fan heater, I managed to get pneumonia while there not the hotels fault but the room being cold didn't help. My partner had what we suspect was food poisoning and was very ill for a couple of days there... More

This hotel and the neighbouring Tres Islas hotel are the only two high rise (and ugly) buildings on the island and stand in isolation, cutting in two an amazing beach, surrounded by dunes. The hotel is a product of the 1970s and could do with updating. The public areas are Spartan and functional. The bedrooms are carpeted and are furnished... More
