We were so unsure about what we were going too because of old reviews. We found out that the hotel had just been taken over so we had a pleasant surprise when it was lovely. The apartment rooms were spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The pool was open and the sun bathing area was again spotlessly clean. The... More

Just got back from a CLOSED resort. Pool closed, fenced off and covered in bird droppings, no sun beds, no pool bar, no pool cues, no shop, no restaurant, closed reception...... shocking. When pool opened it was left fenced off, surrounding area never cleaned and the bird droppings just got worse. Apartments large and spacious but in need of TLC.... More

Do not confuse with Cay Beach Sun. Just got back today 30.07.13. from one week at the CLOSED resort. Yes we were booked into a closed resort, (no reception, pool, bar etc) as were two or three other couples. We paid £44.00 per night for one bedroom apartment with two ringed hob, microwave oven, fridge, toaster, kettle and coffee percolator.... More

the hotel was not staffed you had to help yourself to drinks at the bar even go into the stores cupboard to get me bottles when the others ran out. the hotel was alot further away from the town that explained in the brouchure . rooms were OK large and roomy. no entertainment reception staff were not very friendly.

Arrived 22nd April having been told the Cay Beach Sun had no rooms available, despite having booked in Feb - thank you On The Beach!! Room was large and clean with good facilities but it was all downhill after that. Although we saved a lot of money by being 'upgraded' to all inclusive, I would rather have paid to eat out,that... We booked a budget break for myself, my wife and our teen son expecting some entertainment... just a little?? We arrived very late in the day to a resort that was near enough shut down for the night (no lights, no service, nothing). We eventually found ourselves to the bar/restaurant area pleading for the waiter who was locking up to... More

Reception less than helpful and barely open. We hired a key for the safe but were given no instructions. Couldn't get it to work and eventually unscrewed the battery compartment and found leaking batteries. Reception now closed. Went back in the morning and after a 10 minute search she found some half used batteries to replace them. Then had to... More

We booked for the Caybeach sun, but was sent here when they overbooked (deliberately in my opinion). They only have reception staff here during the day, so when we arrived late at night, we had to go to the next hotel (Iberostar La Bocayna village) to get the key. The key was not programmed in as we were not expected,... More

When we visited in early March we found this to be a quiet, peaceful, spotlessly clean hotel complex. I wouldn't recommend that you go here if you want nightlife or entertainment, unless you're prepared to go into town. That said, the Dream Castillo hotel across the road has a couple of nice busy bars which we visited. The stunning Rubicon... More

As previous comments have expressed, on your arrival at the drop off point you are taken to the Iberostar hotel reception next door (they used to own the whole complex). Being told to go down the path, you are not aware of where to find the other reception, however it is easy to find but annoying when you are carrying... More
