This hotel proved to be more rustic and isolated than we had anticipated. Although the building itself and the gardens appeared to be attractive from the outside, the rooms were basic to say least with few amenities and very poor lighting. Reception was open for only a few hours each day and no information at all was available in the... More

La Casona de Yaiza is a very nice boutique hotel on inland Lanzarote. The building and surrounding complex is fabulous. I especially liked the wonderful flowering shrub that makes a beautiful tunnel at one side of the building. Te courtyard outside the reception office and dining room was also a pleasant spot to sit in. The courtyard was kept spotlessly... More

This hotel is well away from the tourist spots, but within easy reach of all the islands attractions, the hotel restaurant was well run and has excellent food although the menu was somewhat short, however the chef and the waiter more than made up for this as you could ask for something different. The fact that people not staying at... More

We spent one night here at the end of our honeymoon and wish we had spent more. What a beautiful hotel. Really enjoyed lying on the sun terrace and sitting in the hot tub as the sun went down. Unfortunately the food and service in the restaurant doesn't quite match up to the rest of the hotel but that would... More

This nice hotel is far from the tourist buses and the big crowds...It is situated in the very quite village of Yazia, not far from the national park of Timanfaya, 14 km north of playa Blanca which you should avoid: it is a tourist trap; but Playa Blanca is next to the nicest beaches of the island at the "punta... To sum it up in a few words: · lovely room with walk-in shower, dressing area and shutters for good sleep quality · jacuzzi to relax in after a day’s mountain walking with beautiful views · breakfast was plentiful; everything you need for a good breakfast without it being too overwhelming as in some bigger hotels · Good restaurant with... We'd stopped briefly in Yaiza before but this was a chance to stay over and chill for a couple of nights. The hotel is converted from an old house with real charm - and has a good restaurant, downstairs art gallery and a jacuzzi on the roof sun terrace. Our ground floor room/suite was tasteful and old-style, inc hand-painted wardrobe... More

Beautifully decorated, very comfortable room with a huge bathroom. We stayed 3 nights at the end of January. The weather was disappointing so there wasn't a scramble for sun beds but I noticed that there weren't enough to go round. The food in the restaurant was good but would have benefited from a special or two each night. Breakfast was... More

we came upon this gem of a restaurant on the outskirts of Yaiza. and returned 5 times during our holiday. Friendly staff, fantastic ambiance and first class cuisine. We dined under the stars and inside. Well worth the detour once you find it!!!!

I read the earlier reviews after having just returned from a week at this pleasant small boutique hotel to celebrate my birthday and catch a few rays before Christmas. We were always more interested in Lanzarote "Nature" rather than Lanzarote "Plage" and this is an ideal base for the national park and the coastal villages and smaller resorts. Overall impression...
