Stayed in Rio Mar with my 11 year old for just a week - end of season. Considerung some old reviews things have improved a lot. Sure some renovation will be helpful but in Rio Mar you get what you pay for. The location is great - just 5 mins from beach, shops and restaurants. Food - nothing to get... more

just returned from 12 days at the rio mar the food was excellent and the staff very friendly for a family holiday i would recommend to anyone and the beach is just a 5 min walk more

We just got back from the Rio Mar in Alcudia and have to say all in all was very good. We were self catering and although the rooms were basic , they were very clean and in decent condition. Hotel was located right next to the beach and what a beautiful beach it was! The hotel is very clean and the maids were very pleasant and cleaned the rooms daily. When we arrived they hotel representative just threw the key at us and didn't bother giving us a introduction. As we are elderly, we requested a ground floor room but we were placed on floor 2 even though we booked our holiday, 3 months prior to travel. Just returned from 2 weeks at the Rio Mar and had a great time. It is clean, food is good (during the day), the entertainment team were fantastic with the children. the only let down was the size of the pool and not enough sun beds for the size of the hotel....but the beach is 5 mins walk away...plenty of... more
