Despite a bit of intrepidation following bad reviews on this site, we need not have worried. We have stayed in Peguera before and love the resort. We don't want to be surrounded by Brits and British bars so being amongst Germans and Dutch doesn't bother us at all. I think you feel more 'abroad' not hearing your own language everywhere!... more

I,ve been with my 7 years daughter I did not have problem in this hotel , just is one , no air conditioner , is big problem when you sleep , you can not open window at all , , you can hear the noises , 'cos you know that Spain is not quiet place for relax...;-), to close tehe... more

My wife and I stayed at the Mar Y Pins in August 2007. We took my daughter, son-in-law and our 2 grandchildren. On the face of it this hotel is perfectly located almost on the beach. Paguera is a lovely resort (albeit a German resort) but the Mar I Pins is not a good hotel. On arrival after a later flight from Liverpool, we were offered drinks and food by the receptionst. we stayed here in aug,not too bad,green swimming pool for 3days,loads of ignorant germans think the hotel was thiers by right!!!!!!!!met some great people,the bar shut dead on 12,but if laughing larry was on 1145!!!!! no snacks after 5pm,even though it all inclusive,the maids were excellent,the reception sataff iffy butty!!! we found a great bar called bambooze off the main... more

Fantastic location and great resort spoilt by the ignorant and dismissive attitude of the majority of the hotel staff. The food choice was very limited and sometimes appeared to be ill prepared. We both suffered from stomach problems after the first two days, so much so we decided to eat in the local town for the rest of our stay.... more

Great location, rooms basic but very clean, food could have been more varied. Staff friendly and helpful. Only 9 English guests, everyone else German! Town and beach very clean. Stayed 1 week, might have got bored if longer. Used regularly by rest of family. Would go back. more
