The monastery at Lluc is located in the hills in the north of the island. The drive to get there is a mountain road full of twists and turns but a very satisfying drive. There is plenty of parking, and a guided tour of the monastery is available for a small charge but we were happy just to wander. The... More

Stayed here for two nights. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Large bathroom. The heating came on at night and the room was warm. Booked a standard double which is two singles pushed together. You have to make your own bed. We had a room on the front overlooking the main entrance. Great views from the... More

A stop to visit the monastery was worth it. Beautiful basilica, lovely grounds and interesting musem. You get a ticket for free carpark when you visit the monastery. I did not stay there but enjoyed the visit of the monastery.

We rented a room with a kitchen but the kitchen was very under equipped, so it almost wasn't worth it. Staff were not very helpful when we asked for basic things, or other information. Beds are not that comfortable. I guess the price is right though.

stayed three nights as part of a walking tour of the Tramuntana mountain range. Simple rooms may not suit those looking for luxury but the deal with Bed and Evening Meal is a steal. The grounds, basilica and restaurant are all excellent. Two nights, Monday and Tuesday, were at a local restaurant a short walk away, but don't be put... More

The monastery at Lluc is really worth driving to and spending a couple of hours at. Set in the most gorgeous surroundings up in the mountains the place is easy to drive to and parking is plentiful. Once you arrive its best to buy a combined ticket which allows access to the museum & also car parking.....you are given a... More

The journey alone takes you on a long winding road up through gorgeous mountains. You arrive park car Tip get combined parking ticket as also gets you in museum and short film of area. Great choice of places to eat. Museum big and interesting but hot. Courtyard tranquil with mountains all around. The basilica was very beautiful with a calming... More

3rd time I stayed in this place. Peaceful and quiet monastery to relax, read, hike and sleep. Monastery is in the middle of nowhere in the mountains, but thats part of its charm. Landmarks around the monastery are excellent for hiking, as views are spectacular and trails are well maintained. Rooms are relatively cheap and therefore quite basic, so dont... More

Lots of lovely things - beautiful setting, wonderful church, mountain views, fresh air, nice cafe with good homemade cakes, and all miles from anywhere. Nice big bedrooms in the main house, which is very old and beautiful, but you have to make up your own bed when you arrive, there is no soap provided, the sheets and towels are of... More
