3rd time I stayed in this place. Peaceful and quiet monastery to relax, read, hike and sleep. Monastery is in the middle of nowhere in the mountains, but thats part of its charm. Landmarks around the monastery are excellent for hiking, as views are spectacular and trails are well maintained. Rooms are relatively cheap and therefore quite basic, so dont... More

Lots of lovely things - beautiful setting, wonderful church, mountain views, fresh air, nice cafe with good homemade cakes, and all miles from anywhere. Nice big bedrooms in the main house, which is very old and beautiful, but you have to make up your own bed when you arrive, there is no soap provided, the sheets and towels are of... More

Lovely area loads of walks. Hotel very basic, after 27 years you still have to make your bed, which are very comfortable, clean room. We only stay a few days but always love to return. Good food as well.

Great location for the independent traveller and hiker. For art lovers there is an informative museum and Basilcia attached. Great hiking (solo female), nice views from the summits Flew into Palma, took the punctual, reliable bus up north, 3 eurs (1.5 hours). Very impressed. Was very lucky 25 deg C and sunshine at the end of Oct 2013 on a... More

LLuc (pronounced "Juc" with a soft j) is a monastry, but don't expect to see many munks or nuns (if any). Instead you will have a nice setting, a beautiful bassilica (church), good and spacious rooms that are very clean, OK bathrooms, nice breakfast, a selection of acceptable (but not culinaric) restaurants - and an excellent base for hiking in... We stayed for one night and really enjoyed the monastery-like atmosphere. It felt kind of adventurous and special, although being a nun or monk wouldn't be my favourite thing :) The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, it is really quiet at night and the food is good. Lluc is great if you want to go hiking, biking, or... More

The first thing: You must pay for the parking. This is an extra of 4,75 Euro. The whole flat is just basic. When you arrive you have to make the bed yourself. Everything is clean but the beds are creaking because they are as old as the matresses and the monastery. The television is as small as a computer monitor... More

Last week a group of friends and I stayed at the Lluc Sanctuary as part of a Yoga and Walking Retreat. As we were 4 we chose to stay at one of the 2 bedroom apartments near the shop, one room had a double bed and the other contained 2 bunk beds in a windowless room! My friend and I... More

Welcoming arrival, however was followed in to a lift and forced to play "cat and mouse" with a couple intent on robbing me, Thankfully I evaded them but it cast a nasty overtone on the rest of the trip. As our stay progressed, it was clear that like-minded thieves were walking the floors waiting for tourists - security appeared almost... More
