We stayed in the gala hotel on the 10th March 2008 for 3 nights,this year. We booked flights only from Bristol to majorca but did not have accomodation booked, so the taxi dropped us off at the gala hotel. I spent there only a week, but during this week two families were thieved. In the first case, a handbag was stolen from the room. In the second case, a handbag was stolen in the dining room. Terrible... This handbag was stolen from an old lady. It was something ignoble. Simply, in this hotel there are no control at all.... more

We booked the Can Pastilla Playa for 11 nights but when we arrived there the hotel was closed up. A notice in the window instructed us to make our way to the Gala Hotel in the next street. I spent a fantastic week in Ca'n Pastilla last month! The hotel was just perfect: very clean, good continental breakfast, nice staff (speaking several languages) and very close to the beach! I stayed in the Gala in April 06 and enjoyed my stay there. Can Pastilla as a fairly quiet resort, there are quite a few english bars and plenty of places to eat & no noisy dicos. The Gala is about 2-3 KM from the airport and the locals tell me that the taxi should cost about 10 euros but... more
