This 3 star hotel is nicely situated in a quite area approx. 10 minutes from the (too) touristic centre of Cala d'Or. It's very close to different beaches of which I'd recommand Cala Sa Nau. when we arrived at this hotel we were very tired and where given a room in the gardens over the road, it had an adjoining door into the next room so we could hear them talking, mentioned this to the receptionist(john) who was very willing to upgrade us at no extra charge, this bieng my only problem as everything else... more

We found the Hotel Tamarix to be nice - very clean and spacious rooms with good facilities, notably attentive and friendly staff and a nicely maintained pool area. we have just returned from a six day stay at this hotel where we were on half board. At this time of year it seemed to be just over half full so I can only give my opinion of what it is like now in terms of guest numbers which made eating in the restaurant a fairly laid back affair.... more

This is the right hotel in the wrong place, we stayed at the Tamarix in September 03. The Hotel is excellent ,the staff attentive, the accomodation very spacious and clean, the meals served in a bright dining room were well presented.
