Cala ratjada is a pretty town, with excellent beaches, but i was surprised to see all the shops and bars advertise in only one language- german! The town seems to attract masses of germans, and the gay community. The beaches can therefore become noisy and crowded. So ses rotges was a haven of peace and quiet, in contrast to the... more

If you enjoy excellent service, a relaxed atmosphere and gourmet food this is the place for you. I have just returned from our second stay at ses rotges and it is even better than I remember it. The review a gem in cala rajada is spot on - pretty rooms and high quality evening meals if you opt for the half board option. If not the breakfast is also great. Ses Rotges is a little gem in Cala Ratjada. Try halfboard, and you get a wonderful breakfast and a gourmet dinner made by one of the best chefs on Majorca - Gerard Tétard - and served by his charming and service minded wife Laurence.
