Great hotel, very friendly staff and one of the cleanest hotels I have ever been to. The interior decoration is great and the place is really very calm. The breakfeast is a bit dissapointing but overall its an excellent hotel. more

Stayed there last night, we just arrived in Ubeda (gorgeous for 1 night), the Palacio was full, so we followed the tip next door in Footprint guide = Casas del Consul: EUR 95 for room, breakfast as so called "bonus". I wasn't feeling very well and needed a bed, my partner trusted the host Manuel's friendliness so he didn't look... more

Stayed here for one night to break our long drive. The hotel is housed in a lovely building and is very clean and smart inside. The rooms are great with very much needed (in August) aircon. Lovely comfortable beds and a super bathroom with nice touches such as the shower gels, shampoos etc. There didn't appear to be anywhere where... more

This hotel was one of my favorites out of all the hotels we stayed in during our three week trip to Spain. It was once a palace about 300 years ago. The interior decoration is absolutely stunning and beautiful. I couldn't stop wandering around the interior and checking out the beautiful furniture. I took a peek into several rooms and... more

Las Casas del Cónsul was our one blow-out on our recent trip around central Andalucía (€110 + IVA per night) and it did not disappoint. The hotel is in a beautifully renovated renaissance mansion house with a terrific swimming pool which was especially welcome after a long day touring the renaissance buildings of Úbeda. Our room was very well appointed,... more

I was very happy with this property in almost every way. The interior decoration was wonderfully done, the room size was quite reasonable by European old-town standards, the air conditioning was very effective, and the breakfast (albeit 10 Euros) was well worth the money. I got a full pitcher of coffee and of milk, fresh squeezed orange juice, ham, cheese,... more

Casa de Consul is in the small town of Ubeda, Spain. The hotel is recently opened, and is the most charming and beautiful small hotel we have ever stayed in. The enclosed interior courtyard is light, filled with lots of greenery and comfortable furniture. Our rooms were spacious, with hardwood floors and marble bathroom. The wrought iron railings on the... more

Delightful small hotel in a converted 17th century building in Ubeda. Rooms are arranged around a pretty courtyard covered by an atrium. Lovely rooms with crisp white linen bedclothes. Characterful rooms with all features preserved but bathrooms have all mod cons. A peaceful and relaxing haven. Wonderful breakfast personally served in the elegant breakfast room - freshly squeezed orange juice,... more
