We thought this Parador was lovely and they gave us almost beautiful room/ suite ,next to the old walled garden. Parking ok , we dropped bags off then parked the car .sat nav got us there with no hiccups we coped with an Audi estate ,so it is very doable . Great dining too, in the many restaurants .we used... This hotel was really good, fabulous location, friendly staff and a very comfortable room. BUT we did not check the driving instructions to find the hotel and Ubeda is a big place without the usual signposts to the Parador. It became a nightmare to find and then we discovered there is no hotel car park. The hotel is very old... More

This renaissance palace's rooms are the originals. They are interesting and quirky. Ours with entrance on the ground floor was split-level with bathroom and changing/sitting area below and bedroom above. Downside is the drains from above are a little noisy if you are on the ground floor. Good night's sleep though so not a real issue. Restaurant and staff very... More

Úbeda is a wonderfully preserved Renaissance town, along with nearby Baéza. The Parador is in a Renaissance palacio and the ambience in the central courtyard/ lounge area is wonderful. Cars are not permitted in the historic centre, which means a 100 metre trundle with one's bags to the front door and then to park one's car a couple hundred metres... More

Slightly strange welcome - first surprise our friendly receptionist tells us cars are not allowed to park in the square outside the hotel – only options are either to find a space a small distance away then struggle with luggage in rain and wind – or agree to pay a supplement of 12€ per day to have your car picked... Paradores, I have found, are usually a good deal in Spain. This one was in that for 205 euros we got a "standard" room for 2 nights that was big, with a inside terrace facing the restaurant courtyard (Room 121), with a little sitting area, room safe, small fridge, big bathroom with 2 sinks, welcome drink (wine, beer, coffee or... Lovely parador, but like others in the chain, they have no provision for guests to have coffee prior to the breakfast room opening at 8 AM. Surely my wife and I aren't the only ones who would appreciate either a hot water pot in the room or communal coffee in the lobby. Also, even tho the outside temp reached 80... More

My wife and I stayed at the Parador in April. The hotel is in a stunning 16th century building that is situated in a square of equally stunning 16th century buildings in the centre of the old town of Ubeda. Inside the hotel is a covered courtyard and this leads to the rooms which are situated on the first floor.... More

We stayed here for one night during a tour of Andalusia in March / April 2014. Driving up to the hotel caused our sat nav some problems, so that we arrived in the square in front of the hotel. This was no problem to the staff who were happy for us to check in and advised us about nearby parking.... More

This Parador is set in the loveliest of settings with lots of old buildings all within a very short distance located around a pedestrian square. There is no parking except off street parking approx 2 mins walk away. We went out of season so I imagine in season, parking could present a problem. If you are quick you can park... More
