Paradores, I have found, are usually a good deal in Spain. This one was in that for 205 euros we got a "standard" room for 2 nights that was big, with a inside terrace facing the restaurant courtyard (Room 121), with a little sitting area, room safe, small fridge, big bathroom with 2 sinks, welcome drink (wine, beer, coffee or... Lovely parador, but like others in the chain, they have no provision for guests to have coffee prior to the breakfast room opening at 8 AM. Surely my wife and I aren't the only ones who would appreciate either a hot water pot in the room or communal coffee in the lobby. Also, even tho the outside temp reached 80... More

My wife and I stayed at the Parador in April. The hotel is in a stunning 16th century building that is situated in a square of equally stunning 16th century buildings in the centre of the old town of Ubeda. Inside the hotel is a covered courtyard and this leads to the rooms which are situated on the first floor.... More

We stayed here for one night during a tour of Andalusia in March / April 2014. Driving up to the hotel caused our sat nav some problems, so that we arrived in the square in front of the hotel. This was no problem to the staff who were happy for us to check in and advised us about nearby parking.... More

This Parador is set in the loveliest of settings with lots of old buildings all within a very short distance located around a pedestrian square. There is no parking except off street parking approx 2 mins walk away. We went out of season so I imagine in season, parking could present a problem. If you are quick you can park... More

Touring with group. We were assigned a room on second floor facing alley and church. Upon opening door one was overcome by the heat, we opened windows but room did not cool down until evening. Don't believe the air conditioning worked at all. About the bells, they rang at least every quarter hour, or so it seemed. If one is... More

This was our first stop on a 13 day trip to Spain. The town is charming. The parador is classic in the way it has been preserved. Our room and bathroom were quite large and very comfortable. We had the typical dinner offered. The food was good but service was fair. Our waitstaff had a cold but she kept touching... More

A charming hotel staffed by charming people. Everything was very good including - or perhaps especially - its position in a wonderful square. Room, food and service were splendid. Ubeda is a very attractive and interesting town too.

This is a beautifully crafted Parador. Many of the paradors have been modernize and don't reflect the character of their original functions, but this palace from the 16th Century reflected the old charm with modern conveniences. Beds were very comfortable, staff spoke English very well and were very helpful. The bar served great food even though the service was somewhat... More

My room (123) was large and quiet, no spectacular view from the window, but that was not what I expected. In winter, the free public parking in the really nearby "Ronda de Ubadores" is not a problem, but in high season, I have my doubts. The Internet connexion (Wifi) is lousy slow (the slowest I have ever experienced in Spain).... More
