A charming hotel staffed by charming people. Everything was very good including - or perhaps especially - its position in a wonderful square. Room, food and service were splendid. Ubeda is a very attractive and interesting town too.

This is a beautifully crafted Parador. Many of the paradors have been modernize and don't reflect the character of their original functions, but this palace from the 16th Century reflected the old charm with modern conveniences. Beds were very comfortable, staff spoke English very well and were very helpful. The bar served great food even though the service was somewhat... More

My room (123) was large and quiet, no spectacular view from the window, but that was not what I expected. In winter, the free public parking in the really nearby "Ronda de Ubadores" is not a problem, but in high season, I have my doubts. The Internet connexion (Wifi) is lousy slow (the slowest I have ever experienced in Spain).... More

Parador of Ubeda .As with all paradors, each room is different in size, shape and view. . Room # 117 was spacious, but view was of a tiled roof across an alleyway. (See photo) (I had asked to be moved from a previous room which had NO outside window at all.) Room amenities included a minibar/refrigerator, excellent free Wi-Fi, safe,... More

This Parador has one of the most stunning locations of all. Ubeda is an absolute jewel of a city and a delight to tour on foot. Everywhere you look is beauty, charm and interest. The Parador is a lovely building in itself. I had no problem with parking to drop off and collect luggage and the staff were very welcoming... More

This is a beatiful parador in a pedestrian area in the old town surrounded by many historical buildings. Although you atre not allowed to park iin the front of the parador you can park there for a limited time to drop off and collect your bags. There is public parking about 300 yards away on the road. The parador is... More

The Parador de Ubeda was the second one opened in Spain after the one in Gredos (Avila). IT is a 17th Century building located in one of the two wonderful Jaen's province cities: Ubeda. The staff is ciurteous. You can park your car not far away and sometimes you can unload your lugage at the front door of the hotel.... More

As others have noted, the Parador sits on Ubeda's main square right next to the cathedral. The interior has a large two-storey courtyard, which we thought was very dark. Our room looked out on the square, which was nice to see at night with the lighted church. The room had 16-foot beamed ceilings and Old Spanish décor, which reminded me... More

Ubeda Parador is a splendid place, well situated and historical But the male staff let the place down, either there are. Not enough staff or they just don't give a ......? The food in the evening was poor, meat floating in oil, fish wet and under cooked, breakfast eggs poorly timed and sloppy , coffee burnt and bitter. Lunch was good,... More

This was my 3rd stay at this Parador. In the past my rooms have been OK but nothing special, so this time we decided to splurge and take No 112, the corner room on the first floor overlooking the church. It was not cheap - 190 euros the twin without breakfast - but if you want to feel indulged and... More
