Staying in a beautiful 16th palace with really great friendly service, a lovely breakfast. a huge room, parking next door and all in a lovely historic town is a great experience. Tony and Rosa the two ladies on duty were both extremely helpful and made our stay special. If you want the latest in high tech gadgets this is not... More

We were only planning to spend one night here but we're enjoying both the hotel and the city so much that we stayed on for another night - and would have been happy to stay even longer. Palacio de la Rambla is a gorgeous 16th century building that's still owned by the Marchesa de la Rambla in the ancient city... More

Two very comfortable nights, very helpful and friendly staff, beautiful and homely surroundings. Our room opened onto the garden, which was a peaceful and cool place to sit and read. Easy to walk around Ubeda from the hotel, a charming and quiet town.

This palace is kept very much in the period. At first, it seems a bit underwhelming. But, once you are inside and get used to the fact that you are practically traveling back in time, it is quite something. The palace is kept up very well. The rooms were clean (except I think there was semen on my remote control)... More

This beautiful palace is very well located in Ubeda. From the moment one arrives, one feels welcome and comfortable. The rooms are elegant, spacious and well appointed. The staff are extremely helpful and the breakfast was excellent - fresh orange juice, delicious coffee, a very good buffet and eggs to order.

Despite the austere façade this is a delightful, historic, family property and it feels like you've been invited to stay as a guest by an old Spanish family.... you have, the family who normally live in Madrid, still come to stay every August. The central courtyard is shady and peaceful and a perfect spot to read and take tea at... More

We chose this hotel over the Parador as we seemed better value and more intimate. We're delighted we did. The hotel is located in the middle of town - if you've booked parking, be aware that the garage is within the hotel - you need to ring the doorbell and get them to open the garage doors. We spent about... More

We visited Ubeda as a stopover between Toledo and Granada on our recent trip to Spain and Portugal. This property, a formal ducal palace, lives up to the charm evident on its website. We had a set of two bedrooms with a central sitting room--very charmingly decorated and comfortable. The public rooms (dining area, and large and beautifully appointed drawing... More

Great charm, unique, like your own palatial museum. Very friendly and helpful service. It is very old fashioned. Too much in some aspects : fridge and wifi do not work, bathroom is well due an upgrade, using the car park can be very difficult. The main problem I had was the heat in the room. The airconditioning unit is quite... More

Described in Lonely Planet as the best hotel in Andalucia. Not that for sure but nice and charming all the same. I would describe it as an old palace (the trip advisor picture of the hotel is NOT correct- do not know where they got it from) that is a fallen beauty. Slightly run down but charming all the like.... More
