A beautiful hotel found a three minute walk from the beach in Agua Amarga. My wife and I stayed in a superior double - Newport - which had a jacuzzi, proper double bed, some spanish furnishings and a great balcony with a killer view. The stay included breakfast which was plentiful and delicious, and the overall ambience was extremely relaxed... More

amazing spot in the inn at top of hill, view of sea and agua amarga below, wonderful service, amazing breakfast by the pool, with three or four tables, wonderful experience!! a bit hard to find, and off the beaten path, but in general we found to caba de gata to be truly amazing, many unspoiled, uncrowded beaches (in may) this... Agua Amarga is a charming unspoilt small town on the Almeria Coast with some lovely restaurants directly on the beach. The Mikasa Spa is the hotel a short walk from the Beach whereas the Suites are set back up on the hill. We stayed for 5 days at the hotel and found it perfectly clean and relaxing. It is a... More

Truly an amazing experience, far away from the mass crowded beaches in Southern Spain. This small hotel actually has 2 different buildings: the hotel in the litte town of Agua Amarga and the Suites, 1km out of the town. Me and my girlfriend stayed in the Suites. The suites were little houses on theirselves with a roofterrace, a patio and... More

The Mikasa suites are set on a hill in open countryside about 1 km from the beach.[not the same hotel as Mikasa in the village] The suites are very comfortable with good decor and lovely terraces. The pool area is very nice indeed with lots of loungers and fresh towels all the time. The stunning breakfast is served here ,... More

We chose it initially because it accepts dogs and we usually take Josh with us on our shorter breaks. The location, 150 metres from the sea, the accommodation (a jacuzzi in our bedroom) and the elegance of the communal areas, combined with excellent food made our stay very enjoyable. This hotel is a perfect gem.

i stumbled across this hotel and spa whilst travelling around Almeria with my children. Although I didn't stay there with my children, I was so impressed with the look hotel and indeed by Agua Amarga, that i returned the following year with my partner for a few days of luxury, and couldn't have been happier that I did. The rooms... More

We stayed in Mikasa in June 2011. The staff could not have been more helpful, friendly and courteous both before and after our visit. Provision was made for our late arrival and we were given access to our room throughout the day of our departure. The star of the hotel was the multilingual receptionist Angelina, a most engaging person who... More

We have been here twice. Once at the"suites" and once at the "villas". The suites are really fabulous. Incredible room with perfect feeing for design and luxury. It is very quiet so don´t expect to there for the party but for couples for a romantic stay it will be difficult to top especially for the price. But you will need... More
