Stayed 2 nights in January. Good sized room with distant sea view and balcony. Spotlessly clean. Reasonable choice for breakfast. For us the big drawback was location. It is halfway between Frigiliana and Nerja adjacent to a busy road junction. The restauarant was closed and there is no alternative within walking distance. Had we known this in advance we would... we booked here with some family and friends for the Christmas Evening dinner and live band. The event was €44.50 a head. As soon as we got into the hotel we went to the bar that was a free bar for people who had booked the dinner, the staff were friendly enough although they didn't speak much English we all... More

Wow!!!! What an amazing wedding we had at the hotel almazara! We felt like royalty all day and the service and attention to detail was outstanding!!! Superb value, the wonderful food and wine was flowing all evening! Service was incredible, drinks were filled before they were even half empty! Loved the ceremonial wine presentIon!! Made us feel like kings and... More

Stopping over?.. this hotel is just a fabulous location for the A7 traveller. A very clean hotel with lovely pool and the restaurant was serving good reasonably priced food. 3 course menu for €16 All was good, a few strange things, like no pool bar (and worse you have to go and fetch and then then take back empties)...pool towels... Our first impressions of this hotel was the rather steep drive up to the reception (although not as bad as many on here make out!). The hotel is built on the side of a hill, so the reception is the top floor with two floors below for rooms. We were booked in by a young lady who was polite but... More

We've recently returned from a trip to the area to attend a wedding in Frigliana. The hotel location is perfect and the views are stunning. However, whilst I agree that the staff were very friendly and the hotel is spotlessly clean, we were not impressed at all with the food on offer, particularly at breakfast. It is the usual buffet... The positive thing of the hotel was the room. Clean and very comfortable. On the other hand, some of the staff was not so friendly. The WiFi connection was available only in the living room near the reception, so, not possible at all to use it in the room. Another bad surprise came from the Jacuzzi. You have to book... More

Spent one night here at the end of our holiday. Lovely hotel and room with balcony. Unfortunately Spa closed as it was end of season. Although the hotel was nearly empty those few fellow residents took it upon themselves to scream, shout and run down the corridor banging on doors at 1am. Not a place we would return to.
