Don't expect much movement in the Luso village (we're there in November), but you must expect a great place to relax, with all the amenities you could ask for. The hot springs nearby is a must see and do. The hotel is great, because the breakfast is quite good, the rooms are stylish, comfortable and big, the interior pool is... More

I stayed at this hotel during my trip around Portugal and there are few things that must be mentioned. This hotel is excellent for medical treatment. Staff is well trained and really know how treatl with all equipment they have. Also they have a doctor, good indoor and 25m outdoor swiming pools, nice restaurant where we were served AMAZING portugese... More

I have stayed at the Grande Hotel do Luso more than 15 times over the past 35 years and therefore can remember when the hotel was truly "grande". What always made for a wonderful stay was the exceptional staff. These days, while the staff is well trained, the hotel lacks the warmth it formerly enjoyed. The rooms have very recently... More

The small town is great with lots of fresh air and a lovely park. The hotel is really well decorated. However, it lacks some basics for a 4star hotel. It doesn´t have room-service or mini bar. The food at the restaurant is just ok, not bad but not great also. The best part was the piano concert during dinner..so relaxing... More

A very nicely built grand hotel from the 40's.Unfortunately, the interior has been very badly restored and the decoration is uninteresting. Rooms are on small side, but adequate.Staff is very polite.Management could be more...actual. Breakfast not good, a shame even for a 3 star.Didn't tried the restaurant. The pool is very good, olympic size.Pity the water temperature at around 19C.Good for... More

I was with my wife for a convention in the hotel on October 2006. The hotel's central location, nice breakfast, good range of services (from an outstanding pool to tennis courts) and refurbished bathrooms are the aspects that make this old hotel worth a visit. However, they should upgrade the service and the rooms could use some treatment as well.... More

This place is an actual palace in a national palace. The surounding forrest is very beautiful and full of walking paths. You can climb the hill behind the palace for a fantastic view. Overall however, it is probably not worth the price. The room we were allocated was not as nice as some 4-star hotels we have stayed in (we... More

Despite an outdated outside aspect, this hotel is really top class, well located close to the Buçaco park and thermal springs. Very clean hotel, very large and comfortable rooms, swimming pool and jacuzzi inside, olympic swimming pool outside surrounded by a park, perfect service and friendly receptionist. Excellent price-quality ratio, absolutely recommended ! More
