Suave Mar is an excellent hotel that could have been rated 10 out of 10 points but unfortunately we cannot rate it higher than 6 points due and only due to the fact that whereever you are horrible jazz music hounts you. In the lobby, the restaurant, the breakfast restaurant, the pool and (having a room on the poolside) in... More

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights on a trip to celebrate my husbands birthday. It was our first trip to Portugal and we chose Esposende as it was near to Porto and on the coast. On arrival we were impressed by the style and charm of this lovely hotel, definitely more 5 star than 3 star. Our room... More

This was a great hotel to stay at after a day of walking! The beds were comfortable, a nice big bath to soak in and although it was quite a walk away from the centre of the town it did have room service which we took advantage of! A good hotel along the Camino!

Loved our three night stay at this beautiful hotel. The courtyard pool and cafe area surrounded by art deco style walls and beautiful flowering shrubs is the perfect way to unwind from the stresses of life. The hotel was not without its problems in the first room offered the air con did not work but we were quickly given a... More

Stayed in the Suave Mar for a weekend a couple of weeks ago. It’s an inexpensive hotel, well located with reasonable services. We stayed in room which was suitable for handicapped people and it was so big that it was a bit uncomfortable. I would recommend the sea view rooms, which are not very large but seem more comfortable. The... More

We stayed in this hotel for one week in the middle of May. We booked a standard room which over looked the pool. The room was perfectly adequate for our needs, it was clean and comfortable. We had read some of the reviews before traveling and had a few reservations, these were unfounded. We ate in the restaurant each evening;... More

A very SAD hotel, with very old furniture and old fashioned bathrooms.. but nice pictures all over their websites.. a shame! I've been there in August 2012 with a room that was supposed to be with a view. The view was a parking, and the lagoon, that was actually very sad. Breakfast was poor, with very few tables. The hotel... More

We stayed at this place in december, so it was obviously not a beach holiday. Overall our impression is very good. The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff was able to speak good english. One drawback: The rooms facing the "sea" are also facing the main road. The actual beach is a good 10min walk away.

We spent four nights in this Hotel which does not deserve the three stars it shows. The pictures do not truly represent the status of the rooms which are just partially refurbished. The bathroom was VERY old! The room was full of dust and despite the fact we had a room with a view to the sea. It was just... More

We didn't get a chance to read the reviews before booking this hotel and I'm glad we didn't !!! The fog horn was never a problem...it's distant and with the door closed it could hardly be heard. It is a walk into town but it only takes about 10 minutes. It was lovely to watch the sunsets on the balcony... More
