Loved our three night stay at this beautiful hotel. The courtyard pool and cafe area surrounded by art deco style walls and beautiful flowering shrubs is the perfect way to unwind from the stresses of life. The hotel was not without its problems in the first room offered the air con did not work but we were quickly given a... More

Stayed in the Suave Mar for a weekend a couple of weeks ago. It’s an inexpensive hotel, well located with reasonable services. We stayed in room which was suitable for handicapped people and it was so big that it was a bit uncomfortable. I would recommend the sea view rooms, which are not very large but seem more comfortable. The... More

We stayed in this hotel for one week in the middle of May. We booked a standard room which over looked the pool. The room was perfectly adequate for our needs, it was clean and comfortable. We had read some of the reviews before traveling and had a few reservations, these were unfounded. We ate in the restaurant each evening;... More

A very SAD hotel, with very old furniture and old fashioned bathrooms.. but nice pictures all over their websites.. a shame! I've been there in August 2012 with a room that was supposed to be with a view. The view was a parking, and the lagoon, that was actually very sad. Breakfast was poor, with very few tables. The hotel... More

We stayed at this place in december, so it was obviously not a beach holiday. Overall our impression is very good. The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff was able to speak good english. One drawback: The rooms facing the "sea" are also facing the main road. The actual beach is a good 10min walk away.

We spent four nights in this Hotel which does not deserve the three stars it shows. The pictures do not truly represent the status of the rooms which are just partially refurbished. The bathroom was VERY old! The room was full of dust and despite the fact we had a room with a view to the sea. It was just... More

We didn't get a chance to read the reviews before booking this hotel and I'm glad we didn't !!! The fog horn was never a problem...it's distant and with the door closed it could hardly be heard. It is a walk into town but it only takes about 10 minutes. It was lovely to watch the sunsets on the balcony... More

Esposende is a charming little city. It's a good walk to town from the hotel if you don't have a car, but this is an excellent hotel. Staff speaks English. There's a large game room for children; it looks like a great place for families. The bar was a surprise for us. The bartenders were knowledgable about local wines, regional... More

I stayed with my group for 4 nights. Reception was efficient and speedy with a welcome from the managing director in person. Rooms are on 2 floors, built around a rectangle, within which is an outdoor swimming pool. The rooms (which can be accessed by lifts) are well appointed and offer bath or wetroom/shower choices. Rooms to the side of... More

Very well appointed. Rooms very good. Food excellent and staff friendly and helpful. Pleasant location with walks and views. Quiet - except for a fog horn which sounded once it got dark. However, with the windows closed and in rooms away from the road, not noticeable. Management are aware of this.
