I complained but got no where just a shrug of the shoulders from the... More

Excellent location. Minutes from the airport. Panoramic views from hotel. Beautiful, friendly local village with quaint churches, bars and restaurants all dressed up for xmas.Piped music in the street.Eating out very good. 10 euros for 14% proof bottle red wine. Gala meals at hotel great, then all a bit downhill after that. So we ate out.

Just back after 1 week's stay. The hotel was clean and the room adequate, however the hot food was awful both for choice and taste. There was no atmosphere although there was entertainment each evening but other guests did not support it. First time in Madeira but would not return

This hotel (and our room) overlooks Machico Bay and has easy access to the airport ( we walked the 2 km) and to the myriad of small restaurants in the adjacent cobbled streets. It is about 1 km to the bus station, which has a huge supermarket next door. It is obviously a 1970's package holiday hotel but it has... More

This hotel offers a great value holiday. The only let down of the holiday is occasionally the food - although you certainly would never go hungry. For walking the location is superb - armed with the Madeira Sunflower guide you can access plenty of walks by bus, and there is always a taxi at the end to whisk you back... More

The staff were lovely, the rooms were ok but the food wasnt great. For a 4 star you would expect more. Id say it was more a 3 star. My husband and I are in our late twenties and we were yhe youngest guests by far. Average age over 50. Entertainment poor and not great facilities. Overall we were very... More

A good location, convenient to the airport, less than 10 minutes by Taxi, so I stayed here for a stop over. Easy walk into the centre of Machico, so plenty of choice for food in the evening. I only had a sandwich at bar and breakfast, but reasonable choice, and staff friendly and welcoming. It is a package based hotel... More

It is a quite elegant hotel but it needs renovation. Good and quiet location. Good service. Room OK but without a/c (unnecessary in that time of year). Half empty October/November. Food tasty but choice is limited due to low number of guests.

After reading the reviews for this hotel (after booking) I began to think we had made a mistake! On arrival we found the reception staff to be friendly. Our room was an adequate size not large but not small. Yes it was ready for refurbishment, but it was clean, the bed was comfy and the linen changed regularly. There was... More
