My wife and I spent 8 nights on a mostly-business trip. What a relief from hotels!! Attentive staff and wonderful surroundings make this place a terrific respite from reality. And, they are nestled in an incredibly charming neighborhood.

Freemason Inn B&B is run by Leslie who is an excellent chef. The Inn itself is centrally located in the Freemason district. You are within walking distance to the Tide, waterfront, Grandby St (where all the restaurants are), MacArthur Mall, USS Wisconsin, pagoda, and the Chrysler museums. It is also a short 20 min drive to VA. Beach. It is... More

Leslie, the inn keeper, and her little dog Tinkerbell were very accommodating. Leslie greeted us upon arrival and offered tips about nearby attractions. She was very gracious and upgraded our room since no one else was staying at the inn that evening. We stayed in the British Tea Counsel room. It was very large with a massive jetted bath tub.... Stayed here 1 night in the British Tea Suite. The room was very spacious as well as the bathroom. Large king bed very comfortable. All of the Victorian decorations & furniture are wonderful. We enjoyed fresh fruit, Bananas Foster & spinach turkey cheese bacon omelets for breakfast. You can walk to restaurants nearby & you can park very conveniently in... More

We've stayed at the Norfolk Freemason Inn many times, and have never been disappointed. Located in the historic Freemason district, near many sites and the light rail, our most genial hostess always welcomes us back with a smile. Rooms are spacious and sunny, several with Jacuzzi's. Her gourmet breakfasts are a real treat, ample enough for a full day's worth... More

Great location, you can walk to many attractions or take light rail! Nice French restaurant within footsteps. The Inn should pay more attention to the little details. Found some dust/dirt and plastic trash at front entrance (in between entrance doors) that stayed present the entire 2 days I stayed. This includes paper/dirt at outside front entrance, prior to entrance steps.... More

We had family visiting and suggested they stay at the Freemason Inn. From the moment they arrived, they couldn't stop talking about the lovely property and singing Lesley's (the manager) praises. Upon their arrival when Lesley trotted their suitcases up the stairs as though they weighed nothing, to the delicious breakfasts she prepared daily, they were very impressed. She also... More

I really liked this place. It felt like you walked into a different era when you started walking up the stone steps to the inn. I'm from Ohio, so I appreciated the very southern maritime atmosphere here. Lesley was a very easy person to talk to with a friendly and easy-going attitude. I stayed there because my Mom was in... Live in Hampton Roads and can't think of where to spend your next vacation? You needn't look far! My husband and I got married recently, and we could not afford to go away for a honeymoon. Instead, we spent two nights at the Freemason Inn, and we are so glad we did. In fact, we both agreed that in a... More

My husband and I spent our wedding anniversary here and had a wonderful time. Lesley was so warm and welcoming without being intrusive. Our room was romantic and beautiful and our breakfast was great. Would highly recommend.
