We needed a overnight stop in Downtown Norfolk, and this hotel served the purpose quite well. It has a modern feel, is incredibly clean, and getting in and out was easy with efficient valet service. In addition, we had a great check-in experience with Danielle, who also made an exceptional recommendation for dinner (456 Fish). I'm a bit finicky when... More

We decided last minute to stay in area on way to beach. It was 10 at night and all hotels were booked in area. Called and originally told no rooms then he said he did have one just open up. We headed over. Marvin at front desk was very accommodating. We had five in our party and it was a... More

This hotel was clean, convenient and offered a great rate booked the day of. We needed a place to stay enroute to OBX and this fit the bill. The pool was closed for cleaning. Gym was open. Was able to walk down to see USS Wisconsin and listen to live music.

The Courtyard Norfolk Downtown is a very nice hotel. It could be better. The worst problem is the "bistro" dinning area. Completely inadequate for this hotel. The "bartender" didn't even know what a draft beer was when I asked if they had any (they didn't). Food was mediocre at best and seemed obviously microwaved. In the morning, they were slammed... Nice hotel, stayed 1 night to attend the Jazzfest. The hotel was clean and the rooms. Beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. We had a 2 queen bedroom. Bathroom shower should Havre better shower curtains. I already reserved a room for my return in a couple of months.

Stayed at this location for a concert at the NorVA for the first time and not a bad hotel or location. Room was a corner room and was spacious, thought I would recommend to either move the table and chair as you really don't meant to have the guest walk into the room and they have to move the chair... Stayed there earlier this year, and it was a great location. Staff courteous and helpful. Rooms clean. Bar/kitchen closes early, so left with ordering food or going out to eat. Great location. right in the heart of downtown. Would definitely stay again.

My husband and I stayed here as we were in town for the Hampton Jazz Festival and also wanted to venture down to VA Beach. This hotel was a halfway point for both. The hotel and room are both clean and modern. Free wi-fi although it was spotty in some parts of the hotel. The breakfast was just ok. The... More

I've stayed here 10 nights in the past three months. The location of the hotel is convenient to MacArthur Center. My issue is that each time I visit, the quality of the hotel and my stay continues to slip. For example, in late May I checked in and was given room 808. The air conditioning didn't work, so I went... More

Thank you for sharing your comments with us. I am personally investigating the HVAC issue you reported. We have had numerous guests in that same room since you last stayed with no complaints. The hotel operates on a chiller system which feeds all the rooms at the same time. There is not an individual unit in each room but rather... More

Just stayed for one night to see a Norfolk Tides game. Walking distance to park and bars which is a plus. Billed $19 for parking which we knew nothing about and our view faced power lines and an employee parking lot, pretty depressing. Room was clean. Did not use pool but was very tiny. I probably would look elsewhere.

Thank you for sharing your comments with us regarding your recent stay. We appreciate your business. The vast majority of our rooms do have a wonderful view of the city. I apologize for the confusion about the valet parking charges. We do have one of the lowest parking fees of any hotel in Downtown Norfolk. Wesley Dove General Manager More
