Stayed there for three days and was pleasantly surprised. Rooms appear to have recently been updated and were very clean. Morning breakfast was efficient and hot food offered was tasty. I've had the opportunity to stay at this "Hampton Inn" several times over the past 4 yrs while my daughter attended "ODU". The staff has always been friendly & kind. Even the one-time I encountered a problem, it was resolved quickly and my stay with them was not charged. Booked several rooms for my daughters graduation this May :-) more

Hotel is directly outside main Naval Base, attracting large numbers of contractors and service personnel. Very basic selection of restaurants near by, so need to drive iinto Norfolk for any real life and a decent choice. Fairly new, so rooms are good, clean, nicely furnished and very comfortable. This hotel was convieneiently located to Old Dominion University, the purpose of our visit to Norfolk. The staff was more than friendly. Room was clean bright and comfortable.
