The room was actually fine for a budget place. No hairdryer, but there's a coffee maker and an iron and ironing board, and a small fridge and microwave. I didn't hear any plumbing noise and the building seems to be pretty solid, so not much noise through the walls. The bed was quite comfortable. They had wireless internet service for... more

During the month of April 2009, I arranged a two night stay at the Days Inn, Military Circle location in Norfolk, VA. I chose this location because it was located off the highway and just a short distance to the Norfolk International Airport. Upon arriving at the hotel I was not impressed with the appearance of the building. It looked... more

Housekeepers were nice, offered to get me anything when I declined room service. Some of the clerks are nice, some are distant at best. If you stay here, stay on the even side of the hotel if you want decent wireless internet. The odd side has really bad internet service. Cleanliness is acceptable for the average person. It can be... more

Exterior walkway and elevator dirty. Room smelled along with the drapes and the bedspread. Bathroom floor needed stripping. Housekeeping staff terrible; tub not cleaned. Air did not work well. Would have moved to a different hotel if they had not already deducted the money. Run, not walk to somewhere else. more

We were looking for a cheaper place to stay while we visited Virginia Beach. All we cared about was a clean bed- and somehwere to shower- and the continental breakfast since we spend most of our time at the beach. The first two nights our room was ok, but smelled like there was a gas leak somewhere. We were able... more

I recently stayed for two days on a family trip to Norfolk. I knew this was an inexpensive hotel and I was expecting problems... but I actually ended up being pleasantly surprised. My room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The bathroom tile was a bit dated, but everything was clean - it didn't just look clean, it smelled clean, too.... more

This hotel stay was a continual negative experience! The rooms were dirty and smelled of mildew. The housekeeping staff was extremely rude and used inappropriate speech around hotel customers. The hotel felt like an extremely unsafe place at night where people spit from upper floors or begged for money and cigarettes. You can't stand on the balcony outside your room... more

Stayed here to attend a Christmas dinner in the area. The price was right (49.00), but we got what we paid for. This seems to be the party hotel for either college kids or young military. The room was aged, yet clean. This was a very noisy stay with several parties going on downstairs. I think they try to keep... more

The owner of the hotel was very nice and the place was semi-clean, but that was about it. My car got broken into while I was staying there. It is in a terrible section of town. The hotel does not have cameras outside so they could not catch the thieves. They did not do anything to help except to tell... more
