Second time at this hotel. The location (away, but not far, from Funchal) and the magnificent view made me come back. Large room with a great balcony (the bathroom had a slight constant odd smell). 1/ Hotel in need of refurb. 2/Food,salads&sweets very good but main coarse overcooked due to method of serving ie kept in heated serving pans for several hours. 3/ Area very windy and hotel offers little protection when sun bathing. 4/ If poss do not use the local minimart/bar,as they are 200% moor expensive than supermarket,rip off. more
