We had a really good time in Madeira. Good weather, great food, good company and very good hotel. We had a laid back comfortable holiday that included days around the pool, shopping trips into funchal, lots of walking trips and great sailing around Madeira. The hotel was very comfortable and well maintained. Food was good plus the drinks went down... More

Having travelled all over the world , in numerous hotels including other Riu hotels, I have to say that the treatment we received was exceptional and probably the best ever. The receptionists were very welcoming, friendly and professional, making us feel special from the day we arrived. Unlike other hotels "All Inclusive" really does mean that. The food in the... More

We returned recently from a week's stay in this fabulous hotel. There were 4 of us and we all felt the same. From the glass of Madeira wine we were greeted with on arrival from the airport to the heartfelt good wishes on our departure, nothing was too much trouble for the staff here. How often can you say that... More

What a lucky last minute find. First time for us in Madeira and discovered it to be a very beautiful island. The hotel well deserves its Thompson Platinum rating.Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, be it reception, chefs, waiters, room service, or pool and ground maintenance. Everything is run perfectly and the hotel manager is regularly 'front of house'... More

Very good hotel. Acc. to TUI rating it is a 5-star hotel, but acc. to local rating - it's a 4-star. But it doesn't matter. Service excellent, food - nice choice, table wine 3*. Rooms: some of them in left wing on 4th, 5th and 6tg floor are side or direct sea view, but if you look down, you see... More

We have just returned from an amazing holiday here. What a fantastic Island and hotel. Nothing was too much trouble. I loved the fact that you were not allowed to reserve sunloungers and watched with smiles as the pool staff removed towels from the beds on a morning of the guest that were nowhere to be seen! The food was... More

Impressive hotel in beautiful grounds and a lovely welcome with a glass of Madeira wine on arrival. The hotel offered excellent staff, always hard working with our lovely waiters Cavos and Nelson who looked after us so well in the bar. Buffet meals at breakfast and lunchtime were smashing and it was a nice touch in the evening to have... More

Like everyone says it's just perfect for a relaxing holiday. We agree with all the positive comments that visitors have made. The location isn't ideal as there is only a short promenade with a couple of run down bars and lots of cats!, We could not fault the hotel at all. Sun beds were always available as the pool police did... More

Having stayed at the Maspalomas Palace Hotel, we knew what to expect from this one, we were not disappointed, excellent staff, informative and friendly across the board, even when an idiot guest ( me) managed to lose their glasses, I left them on a yellow bus whilst on a tour in Funchal and did not realise as I had sunglasses...
