This was one of the most satisfying holidays my boyfriend and I have had in a while. Ondamar is a hotel complex located on the clifftop about 20 mins by car from Funchal town. This Hotel is located 15 mins away from the Airport. From the moment our transfer collected us from the airport we were treated like kings. The food in Canico was so cheap and so good that we had three course meals everyday for lunch and dinner, the Hotel's breakfast was amazing and a great selection. The hotel is located ontop... more

Stayed at this hotel in September. Had a great holiday. Its a German run hotel and most of the guests are either German, Austrian or Swiss. All the staff speak excellent German, English and Portugese. We stayed in one of their comfort rooms witha fantastic sea view. Room was large with a lovely comfy large bed.
