Awful pool, dingy rooms, pay extra for air con. Even though we paid for half board we really couldn't eat there. Lukewarm soulless food served in a room reminiscent of a hospital canteen. Avoid the receptionist unless you happen to like arguing. Her response, when I said the internet wasn't working, was "what am I supposed to do about it"... More

Good location close to Piazza Marina. Bright and clean. Swimming pool good size, also clean with plenty of sunbeds, shower. No poolside bar. Bring your own towels for that. Rooms typical Italian basic, no frills. No wi-fi in rooms. Careful with your breakables, all rooms are hard surface floor-tiles. Staff in dining very friendly, buffet good. Typical 4 course Italian... More

We stayed here while visiting Venice. The hotel is often full of tour groups, and the walls are quite thin. It's a reasonable hotel, but nothing special. It was low season, so service was just ok. There are a lot of hard surfaces, even in the lounge, so if you wanted a glass of wine in a quiet corner, that... More

Stayed recently for a few nights while in Italy. Good European breakfast, and dinner. Very close walking distance to the beach, and a few shops. Beds in some rooms are bunk beds. Nice balconies. Staff friendly. Did have hair dryers. Wifi only accessible in reception area. Take washcloths. No washcloths in Italian hotels.

My daughter and I spent a week here in June 2013. No WiFi or air condition in the room. Terrible breakfast. Bad service. No snack bar by the pool. Good price though. We learned our lesson, to do better research before next trip.

First (and main) issue was with the hotel parking. I probably need to mention that I have chosen the Bolivar hotel mainly because of free parking area, the tourist agency may confirm this to you if needed. On the arrival I have informed the hotel reception that I have a car with me until the end of my stay. By... More

We were transferred from the Ara Pacis Hotel to the Hotel Bolivar which they claim to be a 4 star..... it was far from it. No shower curtain, no bath matt, no hand towles, no key to the room safe. Room 116 was ver old and very cramped !! No space at all. Breakfast was terrible. I don't recommend this... More

The rooms were basic with not much of a view, but were comfortable, clean and well layed out. the staff were very friendly and helpful. They even provide a lovely packed lunch if you would not be returning to the hotel in time for dinner.
