Excellent hotel in great setting overlooking Piazza R Sanzio in the centre of the medieval walled town of Citta di Castello. Courteous and helpful staff - in particular Max and Sabrina. There are plenty of good restaurants, and shops, and this is a great location for visiting many nearby places of interest in Umbria including Perugia, Assisi,Todi, and Gubbio. It... More

Lovely old building in a little known walled town situated in the beautiful Tiber valley. This town is well kept and old and seems to eschew neon and restaurants Shops actually hard to find as signage is restricted and this keeps town as was is Renaissance times.Stakk exceptiuonally friendly but not invasive.Corridors reminiscent of old histolrical palace, only problem is Wifi poor... We stayed there while on Saga tour of Italy. It was a fun hotel. Three former town houses joined up. It was a bit noisy as our room was right opposite the supermarket which stayed open quite late and across from the square where the youngsters gathered until very late!. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly... More

An excellent hotel, comfortable, with quite reasonable prices... but an incredibly shabby, noisy, dirty restaurant, with arrogant and incompetent personel. "Lasciate ogni speranza, voi ch' entrate" : Dante's inscription at the doors of Inferno can be put at the intrance of "Le Logge". My best advice to the keepers of Tiferno : build a wall and cut your establishment from... More

Just stayed at this hotel as part of a Saga holiday. What a great experience and what a lovely hotel. Recommended to anyone. Welcoming and friendly staff. We were there for 3 nights and really enjoyed our trip. It's in a great location ideal for walking out into the town and lots to explore. We had a room that overlooked... More

Having stayed 6 nights in July 2013, we were amazed by the way that all staff went out of their way to attend to our needs. My car was parked, recovered and had reserved parking within the enchanting piazza every night.

An old school feel to this charming hotel despite its retro refurb - quieter rooms are at the back, though they may lack the character of the older rooms (the square is lively on weekend evenings!). Rooms very comfortable, but not very large. Breakfast somewhat limited.

As part of an independant cycling tour we stayed at Hotel Tiferno in Citta di Castello, Umbria, for two nights in September 2011. It is well situated near shops, restaurants, Information centre, Bus terminal, etc, the room was tastefully decorated, clean and very spacious, it had the old world feeling but with all the modern amenities. The staff were excellent... More

a really fantastic hotel. the fact that it once was a monastery only enhances the stay in my opinion. room 121 was a charming room with a doorbell on the side of the door to the room, stairs up from the entrance hall to the bedroom and bathroom which were both wonderfully spacious. utterly charming! the corridors and hallways were...
