We spent a week at Podere Torre and loved it despite the weather. We had one of the two rooms in "the barn". It was clean, well equipped with a nice little kitchen. This is, of course, agritourismo so it's not luxury you understand, more toward the rustic side of things. Still, we would stay there again if we were... More

My husband and I stayed here as part of a trip to Italy for our 10 year wedding anniversary. We were a little apprehensive at first as the road up is quite windy and steep (not sure how this would mix with wine tasting). However, the views at the top were worth it. Spectacular scenery and just so relaxing with... More

Peaceful, beautiful, restful...thank you Cecilia for being such a kind and gracious host. This spot was the highlight of our Italy & France vacation. It went beyond every expectation. Got up at 5 am every morning to watch the amazing sunrise unfold over the valley. Drove all the winding roads in the hill country and enjoyed lots of great wine... More

This property is beautiful, and the view of the Tuscan hills is amazing. Cecilia was so sweet and hospitable. We indulged on one of her breakfasts and it was delicious. She arranged a private dinner with some neighbors down the road (Loretta & Alfredo) which was such a highlight. Everything was great, and they served their homemade chianti. Only downside... More

Absolute splendor and value in the heart of the Chianti region. Celia provides outstanding service, travel tips, and magnificent Italian breakfasts. My husband Paul and I traveled there for our 20th wedding anniversary and spent four days in this beautiful place. Spectacular views of olive trees and vineyards abound, peace and quiet unmatched in the area, and truly wonderful people.... More

Life is sweet at Podere Torre. Not the decadent and self-indulgent "sweet" of Fellini's "la Dolce...", but the real and simple sweet of knowing that every day there, rain or shine, will be beautiful. Some folks are better than others at being comfortable in a strange place. I am not so good. But from the moment Cecilia greeted us at... More

Podere Torre gave us a real sense of what it would be like to live in the countryside of Italy; it was relaxing, quite and extremely peaceful! Cecilia was such a lovely host - very sweet woman, who made us a delicious breakfast. (Our only wish is that we could have paid her to make us an authentic Italian meal... More

All the wonderful things that are said about Cecilia and Poderre Torre are 100% true! We stayed at lovely places on our memorable holiday in Italy, but none as memorable as this one. The accommodation, common kitchen (our apartment also had its own kitchen) and many relaxation areas are a delight with its thoughtful touches such as fresh flowers and... More

Podere Torre is a peaceful retreat in a bucolic Tuscan setting close to Greve, one of our favorite Chianti area towns. From there we drove for about ten minutes up a winding mostly unpaved road admiring the picturesque olive groves and vineyards - admittedly with some wonder about where this wandering would lead us. Shortly, though, we reached our destination... More
