I can not say enough positive things about this place. Everything about it was perfect- it is the most beautiful and picturesque place I have ever been in the world. The reviewers hit the nail on the head when saying the pictures do not do it justice- they don't. You really need to go here to experience the beauty and... More

My husband and I got married at Castello Vicchiomaggio on 19th July 2014 and we had the most perfect and magical day of our lives as well as the most wonderful stay. Our friends and family who all stayed at the castle over the weekend of the wedding have also been incredibly complimentary about everything during their stay. Castello Vicchiomaggio... More

Location stunning; pool fantastic; staff wonderful and helpful; rooms with kitchen facilities and sitting room; can't rate it highly enough. The website doesn't do it justice, its beautiful. My husband and I, and our 2 teenagers stayed for 3 nights, we caught the bus from Florence to Greve which was a great experience, and a taxi the last few miles.... More

We really enjoyed the 1 week stay here. Castello Vicchomaggio is a Agriturismo accomodation in the country side, not far away from Greve in Chianti and you got a great view from here over the Tuscan hills and vineyards. They also produce some good Chianti wines. We stayed in the Lorenzo appartment together with our best friends and we were... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights here. We especially loved the infinity pool with its magnificent views over the rolling Tuscan hills and vineyards. CASTELLO VICCHIOMAGGIO is part of the Agriturissmo association of country accommodation in Italy, so it is no surprise to find that this 'castle' dates back many centuries and has a unique historic architecture, much of which... We stayed here for 2 nights in the La Canolica wing. This is an amazing property, unbeatable views across the Tuscan hills. Our room was spacious and spotless. The bathroom well set out with high quality toiletries. I have taken one star off because our pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable. That is the only complaint. The breakfast was fantastic, loads... We've just returned from 8 wonderful nights at the Castello! Stunning views from the hill top location, wonderful food (particularly the Monday night dinner) and staff very welcoming and helpful. Our room in La Canolica was very comfortable and clean. The infinity pool was a lovely way to relax after sightseeing. Hope to return in the future!

We loved Castello Vicchiomaggio! We stayed there for 4 nights in May and loved the location, views from our rooms and the whole package! We stayed in the apartments and had nothing to complain at all! The weather was perfect and the whole experience of being in Tuscany was everything I thought it would be! Thoroughly recommend it!

We stayed here for two nights in June, and wish we had stayed longer! The rooms were updated, yet quaint, and the views breathtaking. Breakfast was a nice spread, our lunch was even better, but you must do dinner in the main dining room for a true tuscan feast. The food was incredible, as was the wine. The wine tour... More

The history was as incredible as was the accommodation. Our room was huge with views forever. It was hard to take it all in. The staff did everything possible to help make our stay as comfortable as possible. Weather was perfect. Sitting beside the pool under the Tuscan sun was very special. Breakfast was great. Would definitely stay again if... More
