Stayed 4 nights in the Galileo suite. Two large rooms with seating room and plenty of space to hang clothing and drawer space. What views of the Tuscany vineyards and countryside right from our suite. The screens easily opened so that you could take photos and at night the shutters closed from inside so the room was totally dark...perfect. The... More

Gorgeous! Idyllic! Great wine made in their vineyards! If you're in Chianti, do yourself a favor and spend time here. It's a Tuscan dream. According to history, Michelangelo stayed here when he was painting the Mona Lisa. It will inspire you as well.

My husband and I enjoyed our Superior Suite in "La Canonica" building (the separate and newer building next to the castle). The room was lovely and spacious, with a sitting area, separate bedroom with armoire, and luxurious bathroom. The soaps and toiletries were great. The windows were fantastic; you could open the doors, then open the shutter, then even open the... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here passing through Tuscany and quickly realized we wanted more time. The property is amazing, the people are unreal, and the food is something I can't even describe. We did the Monday night tour and wine pairing with dinner and it still is probably one of if not our best meal in Italy (over an... More

My partner and I enjoyed three nights in a suite (which we were upgraded to) and had a wonderful time. We had a tour of the vineyard and wine cellars, followed by lunch in the restaurant on the first day, which was just fantastic and very traditional in every way. just stay here! However if it's not high season, make... More

My wife and I have had the pleasure of staying at the Castello Vicchiomaggio 3 times over the last 10 years. A fantastic experience on each occasion. The 1st time was in a separate Villa in the vineyard halfway up the hill towards the castle, this villa is sadly no longer available. On the other occasions we stayed in the... More

We stayed here last week and loved everything about this villa! The castle is a beautiful private home bed & breakfast with the most incredible views high over the rolling Tuscan hills. The staff are very good and make you welcome. Nadia, who lead our wine tour before our wine dinner in the castle was both entertaining and educational...and very... More

We found this place the evening of before sun went down luckily and could not have found a place more fairy tale. The property was incredible, the room in the castle (yes a real mini castle) was huge and extremely authentic as it has been owned by the same family for 3 or more generations. The owners were very lovely,... More

My wife and I fell in love with this place and the surrounding area. Tuscany is my sort of place with the best of food, wine and people. The Castello Vicchiomaggio was wonderful. The family ownership shows in their service and attention to detail. Loved and can't wait to go back.

Perfect views, perfectly quiet, delicious wines. We enjoyed a lovely vineyard tour followed by a 6 course dinner. Our server was also our entertainer, playing covers of the Beatles on a grand piano in the main castle. I cannot recommend this place enough!
