We stayed here for the first two nights of our honeymoon. I was disappointed. For the rate we were paying and the description of the hotel, I expected more. The staff was not particularly friendly. I never heard of the dinners, etc. that I read of on TripAdvisor. The property is beautiful, location ok. But with just a bit more... More

This is the ideal place to stay in Tuscany! It was our second visit and it just gets better and better. The rooms are charming and relaxed. The people that run it are never bothered by a question....no matter how obscure. The weekly tasting dinner is 5 star. There are little cookies left around the main area. They are a... More

Since we had read a lot of reviews in tripadvisor and found the two extreme review which is 'love the place' and 'disappoint the service'. So we really don't know what we can set our expectation in this place. After we spent 3 days in this place. We found that we stayed here too short. We really don't want to... More

Vignamaggio is heaven on earth! The villa is a dream come true! We had a fabulous week. Be sure and do the wine tour and wine dinner at the Villa. We did this on our first day and Sandro gave us a tour and history of the property ending with hors d'ouvres in the wine celler with a sampling of... More

I'll have to begin by stating that I am undoubtedly bias towards Vignamaggio, as I was fortunate to have my wedding there in May 2008. However I could counter this by adding that we could have chosen many other venues, but decided on Vignamaggio; we were not disappointed. The simple thing you have to remember about Vignamaggio and the answer... More

My husband and I take a special trip each year during May--the month of our wedding anniversary. As California natives, we had been wanting to visit Tuscany for the wine, and stay in a villa; we couldn't believe our luck in finding Vignamaggio. We stayed 5 nights in their only cottage, which consisted of a sitting room, cooking area, bedroom... More

This was by far the best part of our 2 week Italian vacation - it gave us a chance to sit back and relax, enjoy the beauty of Tuscany, drink some (great) wine, and take a break from the tourist hustle and bustle. This is the quintessential tuscan villa, and a working vineyard! We were lucky enough to snag one... More

This was our second stay at the Vignamaggio. The first time was in 2005 and this time we have spent 12 days there with a baby. Indeed, the region is really beuatiful and the view amazing. The hotel has really been beautifully renovated, probably with the money they got from the movie producers (Much ado about nothing). However, the quality... More

Vignamaggio is "agritourism" at its best. In fact, the resort, which is part of a wine estate, met all of our expectations and more. Before we made our reservations, we perused all of the then published TripAdvisor reviews. There were comments of concern relating to apparent indifferent service, inconvenient hours for reception and breakfast, and relative inaccesibility from the nearest... More

We stayed in this hotel in July 2007 for 3 nights. Plus points - location and villa itself are just beautiful, wine is very good and staff helpful minor points - there are no lifts and our room was up 3 flights of stairs.. with 2 heavy suitcases this was no joke, fact that this is quite an upscale price...
