We stumbled upon Vignamaggio, as we were unhappy with our accommodations in nearby Radda. Anyway, our move here was a fantastic choice- paradise! Arrived not long before 6, and had time for quick wine tasting and opportunity to purchase a bottle of their fabulous Chianti. Don't miss it! The gal in shop, sorry I did not get her name, was... What a gorgeous property this is. We planned a day tour from Livorno organized by AIM Limo and after a lovely morning in San Gimignano, we drove to Villamagio for a tour of the winery and lunch. Little did we know what a wonderful experience it would be. The tour was wonderful, our guide was so knowledgeable and interesting and... More

We'll keep it simple: this was the best experience of our trip all over Italy. We drove up to Vignamaggio for a tour and lunch. The scenery was draw-droppingly beautiful, the wine and food were superb, and the tour was both fascinating and a complete blast. We did not actually stay in the hotel, so cannot speak to the accommodations... More

We stayed in 2 apartments in the fienile, it was really pretty with kitchen on the bottom floor with bathroom and room upstairs, quite farm like looking, the decor is warm and homely. Not super fancy but ok. The view is amazing to die for. You could just sit outside for hours. Breakfast was good and plenty of choices with... More

We really enjoyed our time at Vignamaggio - the setting is beautiful and the staff all friendly and helpful. There are good facilities and we enjoyed eating in the restaurant and the cooking course which was a highlight of our trip. My only complaint would be the room we were given - we had chosen to stay in the cheapest... More

It has a very relaxing atmosphere and is the ideal place to get away for a few days and simply relax and enjoy. We booked a wine tour with lunch which was a delightful way to spend a couple of hours. It has stunning views and is a great location to visit Chianti with the town of Greve 10 minutes... More

We, regrettably, only stayed one night in early September! We totally enjoyed our stay, having a room in main building ( do not know name). Room very comfortable, nice bath, great view, and kitchen area though we did not use. We tasted wines in shop, and bought a bottle to enjoy at the fantastic pool with a fabulous view, and... More

Much Ado About Nothing! We stayed for five days in August and loved our cottage, especially cooking breakfast and eating out on our terrace overlooking the Chianti hills. The food in the restaurant was delicious and creative; we had one a la carte dinner and also the wine tasting dinner after the tour of the wine cellars, gardens and house.... More
