Vignamaggio is an amazing villa with spectacular views and gardens. It was memorable to stay in the historic villa. The breakfast was especially good with many hot and cold choices. Small touches thoughout including little baked treats and wine strategically placed in the common areas were especially welcomming. This is the most beautiful place we visited in Italy.

I spent a week at the charming Vignamaggio as part of a large family group and had a great experience. Vignamaggio is a large vineyard that has converted a number of stone buildings on the premises into very spacious individual duplex apartments. To be sure, these are not luxury accommodations, but the rooms were large, clean and comfortable, the staff... More

We pre-booked the tour and lunch and it was the highlight of our week in Tuscany. The villa, gardens and vines are stunning. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. The drive to the winery was delightful with many photo opportunities.

This is a place that is huge so if you are looking for a personal touch then it is perhaps not your thing. The only reason why I have given the place 4 stars was that we were staying away from the rest of the holiday makers with lots of kids or otherwise a bit "arrogant" people (this place is... More

I chose this place because of the history of this villa which once belong to the 'Monalisa' family. With high expectation, we arrived at the villa quite late at night. I called the reception before arriving, and she is kind enough to assign a lady cleaner to wait for our arrival. The lady cleaner is very friendly and try very... More

Took a winery tour of Vignamaggio and it was perfect! The estate and grounds are stunning, our tour host was fabulous and the views were incredible! This history regarding Mona Lisa was stellar, it was incredible to view all the historic cellars and of course, the wines are perfection! GO!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon and we absolutely loved it here. Our room was spacious (we stayed in the Vechia Cucina room) and the food and wine is incredible. The facilities are spread out, which requires some walking up some fairly steep hills, which is hard with a full stomach, but as there are... More

This was a tremendous place to stay in northern Tuscany. The size of the rooms was very generous and the surrounding gardens, pool, etc was amazing. No wonder they have filmed a major film here. The location is just far enough away from it all to provide a very relaxing few days. No hesitation in telling you to book here....

The property is everything you would imagine Tuscany to be! The vineyards, olive trees and rolling hills are spectacular. We stayed in the renovated farmhouse which was down the hill from the main Villa. The apartments were very nicely refurbished - providing new modern themes while not diminishing the "rustic" feel of the farmhouse. If we had it to do... More

We are seniors (65+), can afford and expect exceptional standard of accommodation. The accommodation we chose was an apartment to provide additional space. As it turned out our apartment was located in "Casolese". The car park was some 100+ metres away from the accommodation which made the process of dragging cases over pebbled driveway for ageing people a difficult and... More

Dear Hooroolmo, we are very sorry about your disappointment. We also have to admit, that your review was funny (the mountain goats) and we understand it. We work here everyday and we know that sometimes it's hard to walk up and down and we do complain also about this. On the other side, Vignamaggio is an historical estate of the... More
